First let me say the pastries look amazing, the presentation of all their food is beautiful! and the place is spotless- The young lady behind the counter quickly came over to assist me.. I asked, pointing to the almond pastry and asked for additional description. I asked if it was made with marzipan and a moist cake. She nodded her head and said yes in very broken English. I asked how much it was and she said $6.00. So I asked for it to stay in a plate. The cashier Massimo was very helpful I asked about the mini pastries by the register and he suggested the mini custard bigne. Which i had to also try.. he rang me up to find out the almond cake was $9.00 not $6.00. Wow! I didn't say anything I thought if it was as described it was worth it and I could take most of it home. I sat down and there were no forks or knives to cut the cake. As it turns out the Almond Cake is not a cake at all.. it is a hard crumbling tasteless cookie.. with no hint of marzipan. A big $9.00 fail! Really! It turns out the young lady doesn't speak English! She had no idea what I was saying! Really! The custard bigne was absolutely delicious! Of course I ordered the mini one! $9.00 for a tasteless cookie is unfortunately a big mistake on my part. I was treating myself . I work 3 jobs so this really hurt. I left the almond cookie/cake right on the counter and walked out. Truly if a customer is asking something very specific about a food item please bring someone over who understands.. not everyone has money to...
Read moreWhy does Davide work in the Food service industry?! Are you unfortunate to have a food allergy, sensitivity or similar - Stay away! This was my first time visiting this mall - and we had the "audacity" to ask if Rosetta Bakery had any gluten-free options and the first two staff members shared a look, didn't answer us, and then passed the torch over to Davide, who got clearly irritated by our question which was a "NO".. and for alternatives in the mall, when I also asked if there was a food-court in the mall, he ignored it and told us we could go to Walmart or Publix down the street! Charming Davide. Bakery-businesses are usually the best places to ask, as they makes the best gluten-free options. Not for Rosetta. After - We walked 20 feet ish down to the right, the ENTIRE area were restaurants!! Davide could just have told us to go 20 feet to the doors leading to the outdoor area FULL of restaurants.
Motek - the Israeli restaurant - immediately offered gluten-free options!!
It is already absurdly frustrating to have to deal with limitations in a diet everyday 3x times per day every time you are out and away from home - to then have to also deal with staff at Rosetta...
Read moreUsually, 5 stars is a rating I would give to an excepcional coffee shop, bakery or pastry. this is a list of reasons I am no hesitating for a second to give Roseta 5 stars.
The design. It is not easy to have reproduced an entore pastey lab inside the aventura Mall. Also, the store is just slick, modern, edgy, well built, well thought, the result is a piece of art Having a lab at the store, is a guarantee of freshness. Not easy at all to do that Coffee was extraordinary. Pastries were good. Not pierre herme good but very good The staff was amicable, courteous, friendly. The experience was great. Last but not least, i have seen 1, 2 and 3 stars based on the fact that they don’t serve free water. What type of mentality is that? Roseta mist have spent a fortune to install that operation. They must pay a fortune in rent, salaries, taxes etc in order to do a business. That means they need to produce money. What kind of person punishes a business for the sole reason of not giving free water? If youbwant free water, go home and ask your wife or husband for that, don’t go in to a business and if you do, don’t punish the company with a...
