Tap 42 Craft Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Aventura

I have always visited tap42 whether it for a happy hour, quick lunch, or even take out . Lat night 12/5/24 at around 7:30pm my mother and I decided we were too hungry to wait and came here for a quick bite . Thursday night restaurant wasn't packed at all compared to other nights, we walk to hostess and the manager and new employee hostess stare at us I say hi table for two please after the manager just had a blank face . You would think a manager would be more welcoming to keep customer service going. We proceed to get seated and wait a whole 15 min to get drink order in (who the manager asked 'DO you need anything we were like uh yea drinks please ' he made a face ok and walked away ), no water at the table not even a heads up " hey we are a little behind be right with you as every other restaurant would do . After placing our order of 2 appetizers and an entree along with out alcoholic beverages an. to her long wait. Food arrives ALL at once. Notice I ordered 2 appetizers ; which is for eating before entree.. everything came together and the chips and guac Last ? then waitress Ashley with complete lack of motivation to work you can see her as if we are bothering her asking for water I was choking on my food; I was never asked if I wanted something more after we were done with first round. We asked for manager JERY who I would like to think is the one to make it all better . I am unsure it even was his name as he made a bad face when asked for his name. WRONG, he never apologized, never asked is there anything to make it better . As a matter of fact he had a HORRIBLE attitude from the first interaction when we asked for the table , and drinks. We said you no what just give me the bill and a take out box he literally tossed it on the table with a nasty attitude and the receipt. RUDE , horrible customer service. Is this what tap 42 has come to ? that was my last visit to that and any tap 42 . I don't need anything free I'm not looking for a discount a mere apology would have sufficed. I was left in shock how a manager can take a complaint and turn it around as if the guest should expect horrible service. I don't go out to eat everyday so when I do I'll make sure it's not here. Someone needs to reevaluate their staff before they go out of business. Tap 42 has left me with complete disgust and bad experience. I understand we are human and can be tired over worked but don't take it out on your clients and customers; as a nurse myself always exhausted a patient will never suffer my lack of sleep as a consequence in care. in this case it was a restaurant but a mere apology would...

Visited: Saturday, around 2:30 PM Weather: Sunny and hot — ideal for outdoor seating Visit Context: This was my second visit to Tap 42, more of a convenience stop while shopping at Aventura Mall than a destination meal.

Tap 42 at Aventura Mall offers abundant outdoor seating with minimal wait on warm afternoons. Indoor tables are limited, especially for parties of two.

Our server, Jordan, was attentive and courteous, even while managing a packed section. There was a brief delay (about 10 minutes) for the first round of drinks. My second beer arrived later than expected but did make it out. Overall, service was solid and friendly.

The spicy mayo was a standout. • Prohibition Burger – juicy, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. • Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap – well-balanced flavors; order the dressing on the side for best texture. • Regular Fries – crisp and satisfying. • Truffle Fries – come with a $2 upcharge, which didn’t feel justified.

Portions are large — we left with leftovers. Prices are in line with similar mall restaurants.

Took my adult daughters out. to sit and enjoy some drinks and food, went to my favorite spot TAP 42 in Aventura mall, the hostess was awesome very welcoming , she sat us down with Christian, I have been to this restaurant multiple times never had this rude dismissive behavior before, we are 3ppl sitting at a table,we told him we would start with 3 glasses of water , that man came back with one glass of water, and told us his tray was full so he could only bring one, ok it took him a next 20 minutes to bring the other 2 glasses, it took him a next 20, minutes to come back to the table to take our orders, the appetizers came out he never came back to ask how was the meal never brought us any side plates we had to get up and go to the bar to ask for side plates, he passed by 15 minutes later never even look over to see if we had the appetizers or anything after finishing our Appetizers we sat there just looking around he never came back over, when I finally got his attention and asked for the bill to pay, Christian just said ok in his most dismissive voice walked away got the bill dropped it on the table and walked away, no care in the world, I finally had enough of his dismissive behavior I asked to speak to a manager, Ryan the manager on duty was very understanding kept apologizing for Christian’s behavior he even went a head to comp the food part of the bill, that wasn’t necessary but was very much appreciated, and if TAP 42 continue to keep servers like Christian on board you will only be losing customers and money, I’m sure this is not the first complaint about Christian’s behavior and it won’t be his last complaint, Tap 42 will just have to keep on comping people bill, while he continues to act and get away with his rude dismissive behavior, he will eventually cost you a...
