Was surprised at how good these were considering they're a chain on Uber eats ! I ordered them from Uber eats before leaving for the airport and I'm super glad I did. So many interesting flavor options, well cooked, well stuffed and tasty! They also came very quickly and we're still warm when they arrived.
The dulce de leche was everything I was hoping for. My husband absolutely loves dulce de leche and had been looking for a dessert with just tons of it in it and this was it. There's also some cake mixed in. Guava and cheese was good too, cheese is cream cheese instead of the Melty cheese sometimes used.
I tried three beef - spicy, Malbec, and fork/knife. I think my favorite was Malbec, it tasted like a steak dinner in an empanada. Spicy was kind of standard with some spice and fork/knife was like beef stew.
I was surprised/excited to see blue cheese, another favorite ! It's mixed with other cheeses and ham but the blue cheese still comes through. Spinach and cheese also solid.
We got the chimichurri and habanero sauces on the side. The portions were more than enough for how many empanadas we had as they didn't really need need the sauce anyway.
Would definitely order from...
Read moreI had a bad experience. When I saw the store I was excited to have empanadas... a young man was at & acted as if I was bothering him. The menu prices was indeed taped to the counter... but I did t notice and ask him "how much are the empanadas" he looks at me cold faced and take his fingeŕ, points down & hits the menu and with a stark face says "menu !"... didn't greet me when I entered and then this. ( by the way, i had greeted him when I had entered and he only gave me a cold look) so, I turned around and on the way out and said ...in spanish.. "a smile will cost you nothing" he was rude... but yet I think he is perhaps one of these young people that only know how to text each other and have no human relation/interaction skills. I really hope for his sake & the Sake of the shop... that he gets with the program in life... because not only could this business fail because of rudeness... but he will encounter many difficulties in life. If you read this (I suspect that you might be related to the owners of this business)... you need to get your acts together... because every customer means dollars and every...
Read moreLocated along Biscayne Blvd., The Empanadas offers a variety of freshly made empanadas at an affordable price. As of right now, they have a promotion: buy 12, get 2 free and buy 6, get 1 free. The type of empanadas made are either traditional, special, signature, sweet, or vegan. There's also sandwiches, ice cream, sauces, cookies, and cold beverages. I appreciate that each empanada is stamped with the name of its filling so you know which one is which.
I purchased 7 empanadas: two beef, two chicken, spinach, caprese, and pulled pork with mango bbq. After waiting a few minutes I was handed a box filled with hot empanadas. It smelled divine and yes I took a bite of each one after cutting them in half. I liked them all. Each had just enough filling which was flavorful and the empanadas was light and flaky. These are so good for snacking. Gonna try to visit again to try...
