First of all, when did Dunkin stop carrying blueberry bagels? I can't be the only one who ever orders them.
Anyway, it's been a while since I've eaten at Dunkin but I had a doctor appointment on a different side of town and just decided to go get my old order (toasted blueberry bagel with cream cheese and two warm crullers) from back when I used to visit them regularly. Different location, obviously. And while the Indian girl who took my order was nice enough, she told me they couldn't, aka were incapable, of warming up my crullers. They are so much better warmed up. She said something about the sugar shrug. This is something my old location didn't just do regularly, they offered it to me every time. "Would you like those warmed up?" Is because of them I came to like it so much. I don't know if they microwaved them or what, and I didn't care. They were so much better warm. But being a new location, I just decided to ask outright, and they acted like I was crazy. I just sighed and went with it because who needs the argument? But then, I'm in the drive thru btw, I always have my own drink with me, and I just asked for ice to put in my cup I already have. They wanted to charge me an extra $1 for ice. Yet another thing my old location was willing to do. Admittedly, these are small things, but it's because they're small that I don't understand the refusal. I work in customer service, so I know how far the little things go with people. They resonate in a way that's like, really? You can't do this small service that other stores went out of their way to provide in the past to make my morning just a tad easier? Which, by the way, was a big part of why I would frequent them. As a result, I'm probably never going to bother with this location ever again.
On the plus side, the everything bagel I ended up with was still pretty good, although not toasted particularly well, and the cruller was, at the very least, fresh, just cold. So what they gave me was fine. It just wasn't what I wanted, and due to previous experiences, felt lazy and cheap, and not...
Read moreI would rate 0 stars if I could. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Dunkin before. I order two large coffees, one was a cold brew + 1 shot of espresso & 1 pump of mocha sweetener, one was an ice coffee, with cream & EXTRA cane sugar sweetener and I also order a large water. I received a medium water, the cold brew, and an iced coffee with extra cream & light sweetener. I asked at the window for more sweetener which I would have HAPPILY paid for, the man at the window said “Nah, i don’t feel like ringing that up.” He also rolled his eyes when I asked to be given what I paid for….. I’m sorry but WHAT? Why is he refusing to do his job, why is he being rude to someone who asked POLITELY for extra & then politely once again who asked to be given what I paid for. Please, make this whole ordeal make sense?! Highly disappointed with the service I have received here today. I won’t be coming back to this location. The crew needs a serious upgrade on social skills because the man at the window was rude for...
Read moreI have been a customer at this location for years and typically order the same thing each time. When I DO order donuts I get Boston Cream which has icing on top. It doesn't matter if you purchase ONE or FIVE Boston Cream along with a cake donut they will put them in a bag. WHY?...I don't know. If you've ever had to try and get one out of the bag you would understand. I normally don't say anything and deal with it but today when in drive-thru I saw my donuts in a bag. I asked if I could get them in a box because the icing is removed from the donut and onto the bag. She put the donuts from the bag she initially had them in and put them in a box. Does this make any sense?...I took them inside and explained what had happened and everyone was smiling and acting as if they had no clue. Apparently, they were out of a donut that couldn't get replaced. Fed up, I told them they could have the box of donuts and I will no longer be a customer. I have several other options on Rockville Rd to purchase donuts....
