It's 6:30 in the morning. In spite of it being 6:30 in the morning, I am actually feeling really good when I walk into Starbucks on the corner of Rockville and Raceway. I have a smile on my face, and am eager for my morning Starbucks ritual. Lady with long black ponytail and glasses barely acknowledges my presence when I walk through the door. Does not say hello when I walk up to the counter, instead cutting straight to the chase and asking me what I wanted.
I tell her "One iced, grande pumpkin spice latte please." To my surprise, I see that she has given me a hot pumpkin spice latte a few moments later. I politely tell her "oh, I wanted iced." She responds
"YOU didn't say you wanted iced." She then rushes out the drink I wanted, without so much as a glance in my general direction when she's finished. She didn't say anything, but I knew she was thinking "Don't let the door hit you on the way out."
Needless to say, I was no longer smiling as I walked out the door. I came into Starbucks happier than when I left. I am 31 years old. I am not senile, I do not have dementia. I know exactly what I said, and I remember it clearly. This kind of accusing language is so nonsensical in a customer service setting. Read moreStarted going back to this store due to they carry equal. Of which some stores have stopped. So far 5 visits 2 gone wrong including today's. Today's visit was strictly a listening thing. The drive thru employee not listening to the customers orders. Too much huh and what and us repeating 7 or more times slowly too. Round one at the window gave a hot coffee instead of peppermint Frappuccino. Round 2 gives another totally different drink we didn't even order takes it back says keep the hot we will just add whip creme then says oh wait is this not your order? Like really??? People behind us building up so we tell her we will park n come in so others can get their drinks she says no let them wait your OK. No we pulled around 5 min later after going in the manager did Apologies and finally gave us what was ordered and purchased over 20min from window to correct order. Read moreI ordered Iced Matcha latte , they gave me like 80% ice in it and only the 20% of drink. I drank it ..didn’t feel like i’m drinking any specific drink other than drinking a iced water. I paid 6 bucks just to get iced water and i went back and asked for refund or another drink and they were like no we cant do that.. Oh you can give us iced water in the name of iced drink. I didn’t know that iced drink means all the ice with two pumps of flavour in it. I asked for the manager but she wasn’t very helpful and was like i can’t do the refund or give you another drink, My manager won’t allow it.
