Barfly's — Restaurant in Baltimore

I just started with PostMates delivering food at the time I experienced this situation. I accepted an order for this location and went in as I normally do. The woman who assisted me was annoyed by something and that came off to me. She started to complain about how she didn’t want “their” food delivered and that it wasn’t ready. I had no problem with waiting, the problem came because when I explained to her that I didn’t want to hear the excuses or her complaining while at work, she didn’t like it. She made a racial comment and I kindly let her know I didn’t actually plan to come here it was just business which she is trying to ruin with her poor customer service and lack of concern for customers who actually love their food but couldn’t make it in. When I spoke to the manager about her behavior she got even more upset that he was listening to my concern! I will never do business for this place. Simple. Never keep a person in your business that complains about the very business that pays your bills! She was bad...

There are very few pizza places that are on the same level as Barfly's.

Their pizza crust reminds me of Pizza Hut's breadsticks and they pile the toppings on there. It's baked to the point where it's the perfect amount of crispy without getting dry, too. What I love the most though, is the Caesar dressing that you can drizzle over your pizza or dip your crust in. WOW! I never would have thought to put Caesar dressing on my pizza, but it actually tastes amazing and is so unique.

The last time I went there I had a beer at the bar by myself while I waited for my takeout order. I ended up just eating my "takeout" there because the atmosphere was friendly welcoming. It seems like there are a lot of locals who go there regularly to hangout and enjoy the good food.

This is your quintessential South Baltimore dive bar that has been recently updated to be a little bit more aesthetically modernized, yet it hasn't lost its charm....

We've done take out from Barfly's numerous times and their pizza is definitely 4 stars. Last week, for the first time, we went in for dinner and drinks with some friends. The bar is cozy, has a lively mood, and is a little more catered to the sports scene. The service was a little lacklustre, we waited around for a while for someone to ask for refills and to get our check (in the end went up to the bar). The pizza, as usual, was fantastic, but I had to drop a star for presentation. Everything (drinks, starters, and pizza) comes out in single use plastics/paper plates. Maybe I could have let the drinks and starters go, but when the pizza was brought out in paper plates, I was really disappointed. I would appreciate a little more thought and care into this aspect of their service, from both a presentation and waste...
