Captain Larry's — Restaurant in Baltimore

Being conveniently located next to the harbor, I came here with a friend for dinner pretty late on a weekend. I wasn't super hungry so I just got the appetizer mac and cheese, which comes topped with chili, pico, avocado, and sour cream. I asked for no sour cream, but when my dish came, it had sour cream on it. I told the waitress and she offered to get me a new one, but since I really hate wasting food, I just scooped all the sour cream off. The mac and cheese was alright, as it was lukewarm and the cheese didn't have much flavor. The chili was spread on top, and there were about four tiny pieces of tomato and two tiny slices of avocado. Great service and food! I went the previous Saturday with a friend for drinks and had a great conversation with the Bartender, Steve, so I came back the next Saturday with another friend to get dinner. Steve not only remembered my name, but my friend's name from the previous week and was more than welcoming; even though he had a good bit of customer and was by himself. My friend wanted the Fish and Chips, which was amazing, and I got the Salmon Gyro sliders (Daily Special). The sliders were cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients.

I would highly recommend Captain Larry's for the food or just to grab a drink and learn some local history/tips for enjoying...

Wonderful restaurant, with really delicious crab cakes and fish tacos.

We came here from Toronto while visiting friends in Baltimore. There was a problem with my credit card and the owners were so unbelievably nice about it. I just had to manually enter my PIN number (which I eventually successfully did), but the owner just kept insisting that I send him a cheque in the mail, like it was no big deal at all...all smiles and no stress. I was very touched by how nice they were about a situation were I was potentially not able to pay my bill. Top notch food and friendly, accommodating...
