This was my 3rd time visiting since they opened on Tuesday Feb 23rd. My partner and I came in around 9pm for a late date night after work and were sat in a section with a large party. It was apparent that they were celebrating a birthday which is more than okay. What was not okay is that they were so loud that I could not hear myself talk or my partner for that matter. These people had their own music and Bluetooth speaker playing out loud, dancing and yelling as if there were no other customers in the restaurant to consider or as if it were a party setting. It was the most obnoxious, unpleasant experience EVER. The staff there had no control over this party. They asked on countless occasions for them to turn their personal music off. They would do it and then 5 minutes later the music was back on and louder.
After 30 minutes of this non-sense I requested that we get our food to go and that we have boxes for and plastic cups for the items we were already working on. It was so obvious that several other tables in the restaurant had the same idea of leaving due to this rowdy group. It makes no sense to me that the management could not handle this group and that they would allow nearly their entire restaurant to leave out of discomfort rather than handle this group appropriately. Can’t say I’ll be back if these are the things I have to endure when...
Read moreThe fact that I am taking time out of my day to write a review is more than enough to show how horrible my first and last experience at this “restaurant” was. This place is only still open because of their location in Fells Point, unfortunately making it one of the very few pathetic options of their self-claim authentic mexican food in the SoBo area. Service is slow, takes 20 minutes just for someone to come address your existence. Should have been my first red flag, but as a former server I try to give the benefit of the doubt. After another 15 minutes without service, I asked the polite woman at the host stand (I believe she was the manager) for the bathroom location, utensils and water - the bare minimum at restaurants. She was apologetic and asked who my server was, I said I didn’t know because no one addressed us and kept walking past us with their airpods in even though there were maybe 9 people total in the restaurant. Aside from the atrocious service and disorganized establishment with obvious prejudice, they automatically add 20% gratuity to your bill. No statement or disclosure on the menu about it, and if you ask for clarity or management they just walk away and charge your card. Literally paid for drinks we never even received and uncooked food....

It's lively, covid restrictions enforced at the bar, attentive service and quality food! I stopped in alone on a Thursday around 5:30pm, there were only 2 other patrons at the bar dining together. I was greeted the moment I sat down and ordered a House Margarita with no salt or sugar. I loved it! It was decorated with an edible flower, sorta like some Martinis are at other places. Cute! The Margaritas are pre-made, just an FYI but that did not disrupt the taste and flavors of the alcohol at all. I had 3!
I did have to ask for Chips and Salsa, I think the bartender just forgot to give them to me because I noticed the others at the bar and seating area had some. I ordered the chicken quesadillas but toyed heavily with ordering the wings because every time a server came out with food, wings were in their hand. Must be a fan favorite. I'll try them next time. I did enjoy my chicken quesadillas, nothing special to brag about but I really liked the flavor on the chicken. I would certainly order again.
I dined alone but planned to return with friends because it's such a fun place. I literally didn't see any loners in the bar, so bring your friends!
Happy hour is M-F 4pm-7pm. Both the food and drinks are about $7 bucks I believe! ...
