Completely average “Japanese” restaurant - we ordered takoyaki, unagi and salmon rolls - the unagi was decent, average, but the takoyaki was very chewy and fishy - I’ve had much more tender and delicious takoyaki elsewhere.
The house salad literally was sitting in an inch and a half of water-based “dressing” - some iceberg lettuce topped with carrots sliced circular and a paltry handful of grape tomatoes. Pretty pitiful and flavorless.
The service was okay - if not extremely rushed, we had three separate servers come up to us and try to get us to order before we ended up putting our appetizers in, all within 5 minutes. After placing our appetizers order in, we were approached two more times in 3 minutes to put our entree order in, the waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu and couldn’t answer if they had tempura in anything other than shrimp or vegetable.
By the time we got the entrees it was shocking how every dish was worse than the last. I almost never give bad reviews - like some thing on the menu must be redeeming - but honestly I could not have been more disappointed, and regretted my choice to eat here.
Please avoid, it’s just not worth it. Go to any other...

We got our drinks, but then after this, the waitresses seem to have vanished. We were left sitting at the table waiting to place our order for 40 minutes, ONLY TO PLACE OUR ORDER. Finally, someone came to take our order, I was still being hopeful, and ordered the ramen with pork. Another 40 minutes passed by, waitress came over and said, "we don't have pork today". AFTER 40 MINUTES, THEY TELL ME THEY DON'T HAVE MY ORDER. They didn't even seem remotely apologetic, and at this point, we have been sitting at the table, hungry, for more than 90 minutes!!!!! 2 couples that came in after us have eaten and left. Finally after waiting another 20 minutes we decided to leave. No sincere apologies from the staff, AGAIN. I really wanted to like this place, and we are always in support of small businesses and the neighbors, but this is very awful...
Read moreI have a sesame allergy. Before ordering, I told the waitress I am allergic to sesame. Ordered a $65 sushi boat and the rolls had sesame on them. Sent the rolls back to kitchen. The waitress brought out 2 rolls without sesame on the outside. Before I was about to start eating those rolls, the waitress informed me the spicy tuna has sesame oil in it. Sesame oil will put me in the hospital and the other roll had the tuna filling on it which indicates cross contamination. The waitress avoided the table until my partner finished the food I couldn’t eat. No apologies were given.
I used to like this restaurant a lot but the carelessness of the chef and waitress is not worth the thousands of dollars the emergency room visit...
