The food was a bit pricey, but the servings were large, so I'm not rating the restaurant lower for this.

The seafood was cooked well, but the sauce that came with the shrimp and scallops was a little underwhelming for us. We would have preferred if it had more flavor. Adding more lemon and salt to the sauce helped, but it wasn't sufficient. The crab cake was massive and the sauce that came with the crab cake was tasty, but we would have preferred if the crab cake had been seasoned more.

The atmosphere left a little too be desired, especially, after someone came to our table asking for the time who had apparently done the same thing to the table next to us a few minutes before. This was a little awkward, but the waitor's response was also awkward when he marched the guy out of the restaurant howling at him about harassing customers. There was clearly something mentally off about the person and I think that being firm with the person but not heckling him out the door probably would have sufficed. Given I don't know the potential backstory, this isn't affecting my rating on atmosphere. The restaurant itself just didn't have a great atmosphere. It felt outdated and a bit dingy.

What left a really bad taste in our mouth is that the waitor automatically added a sizable gratuity to the bill without saying anything and then to top this off he added a hand written line on the final bill for yet another tip. I can't see any other way to interpret this aside from that he was attempting to scam us in case we didn't notice the hefty tip he had already given himself. I've never had this happen before and I have to say it was extremely off putting.
