Ok I was going to really bash this Resteraunt. So My girlfriend, her friend and I went to Waterfront around 9:15. The kitchen closes at 10. Plenty of time right? There was a group of attractive looking females that sat down after us and got served before us. Infact we didnt even get a waiter until 10:00pm and after much arguing with staff to even get a beer. Waiting 45 min to get my girl wine and to get my self a beer is rediculous, but here's the turn around. I went to the bartender who apparently was the manager. He went up to the waiter who was a punk and told him to leave and that he doesnt know what will come of this. Meaning the guy maybe got fired. (he should of he was extremely unprofessional) didnt feel bad for him, but felt bad for this next part (but stilll) the manager made the restraunt staff stay to make our food and he also put a comp on our drinks for the night. I dont know his name but it was either brian or Jamie. He always wears a ball cap. Hell of a guy he really made a bad night turn into a good night. I actually wish I tipped him more. If I could Id of bought him a beer. Hes the only reason we stayed. They should promote him. He acted as a waiter brought our food outside and was the only bartender inside with a crowded room of people. He still made sure we were takin care of first! Thats customer service folks. . Would I recommend? Stay away friday and saturday nights other than that the place is very pleasant. Unless you get my man in the ball cap! You'll know who Im talking about just talking to him he seems to love ppl and love his job! Maybe you guys will have better luck. Im probably only going to go if hes serving again. All the rest seem to be moody and tool bags....
Read moreI was invited to host a special event. Arrived early to set up and engage with customers and meet the staff to try to set everything up for success. I was pointed to a corner and told to set up. Staff didn't seem interested in talking much so I didn't think much other than maybe they aren't used to someone wanting to engage about the event we were hosting together. I gathered the information after asking multiple prying questions trying to find out how they wanted things for the event which has always been a success recipe for any locations I go to. Again they showed very little interest in engaging. There were only one or two patrons in the restaurant that evening so perhaps a slow night was bothering the staff. Some people would walk past or walk up to the door and I could feel the negative energy from the space radiating out into the street. After some time the venue did not have a crowd so we decided to cancel the event. I felt unwelcome the entire time I was there and like hosting an event and trying to bring people in was a burden instead of a business opportunity.
I don't like to leave negative reviews but this still bothers me. I still think about how I felt whenever I walk into a new venue and how negative this experience was. From the manager, to the bartender, to the entire energy in the room.
I can't say if this is a bad place but i can tell you it's not the right...
Read moreI’ve always enjoyed Waterfront, but I’m not convinced that the new ownership under Atlas is for the better. The entire menu has been overhauled- gone are the days of solid, reasonably priced bar food and drinks. The menu is also significantly limited. We ordered the spinach dip, which came with a measly serving of bread and a small bowl of potato chips - the potato chips seemed like an odd choice. I also ordered the crab cake, which could have been good if it hadn’t been burnt to oblivion. This cake was not a little over toasted - it was clearly burnt and should not have left the kitchen, especially considering it wasn’t a cheap entree in the first place. Crab meat is expensive and they ruined it. Under other circumstances I would have sent it back, but the service was slow for our entire visit and I was too hungry to wait around for new food. I had to ask for a glass of water on 3 separate occasions before I finally got one. There were 2 bartenders on duty: one who was experienced but was too busy gossiping with another employee most of the night, and one who clearly had no idea what he was doing and had very little experience dealing with a busy and fast paced environment. I don’t think I’ll be coming back except for the few occasions that my friend’s band plays there, and I’ll definitely be dining somewhere...
