Salt North TapRoom — Restaurant in Bangor

My family and I recently went out to celebrate that I passed my state medical exam. I scrolled online and saw pictures on google of Salt North Taproom food & we all thought it looked AMAZING! When we walked in, (on a Wednesday evening I will add), most people were sitting on the bar side. The dining side was empty, but there were many food orders going out the door so we assumed that the vibes are usually DoorDash/online to go orders. We didn’t care, we still sat down and tried the food (which we have never had before) and when I tell you it was AMAZING, that is an understatement! The waitress, Arianna, suggested plantains and another worker suggested ox tails, so I ordered both and was BLOWN AWAY! All of the food we ordered was absolutely delicious & everyone there was so incredibly kind and attentive. We are definitely going to be ordering from there again because the leftovers still tasted amazing the following day! I sat the bar and no one else was in the establishment. I ordered a chicken sandwhich. I sat there for 20 minutes before another person came in. That person was a regular. They ordered 3 items from the menu and received all their items before I did. I had to ask the bar tender if I put in food and he said yes. 10 minutes later the bartender came to tell my food was never put in. I said I just wanted to pay for my drinks and leave. They could not provide me with a receipt. I went into this establishment fully wanting to enjoy my experience because I believe bagor needs as much culinary diversity as possible, but this was one of the worst experiences I had in a restaurant ever. I ordered delivery to the Hollywood Casino since Im visiting, and was really craving some good Jamaican food. This was a TOTAL waste of money! The food had ZERO FLAVOR!!! No salt, no heat, no nothing. Ugh. I ordered curry chicken, and to say I received 4 pieces of chicken is being generous. The rice and peas should be called kidney beans and a little basmati rice.
