La Mesa — Restaurant in Barstow

The BESSSSST Mexican food in Barstow. No other place in town compares. The burritos are the BOMB! The Gots 2 Go burrito is delicious it has little bits of potatoes and New Mexico chili sauce augggh just talking about it makes my mouth watery. The enchiladas are delicious. The freshly made chips with salsa are soooo good. The green salsa is my go to when I want that extra kick I get the red salsa which is really spicy but yummy. Authentic food made with lots of love. The cook is always busy in the kitchen but makes time to check on the customers. The cashiers are very nice and attentive while taking your order. They have weekly specials and Friday tacos are usually $1. Everything on the menu is exquisite, mouth watering, and satisfying. They offer catering for your special occasions. I decided to try out La Mesa with absolutely no idea what to expect. I thought maybe you just walk in and order, wait, and go. Not the case! When I walked in I was immediately hit by the atmosphere. There where nice booths, and totally awesome decor. I went in and after deciding to dine in, took a seat. The staff was really nice and easy to talk to. I ordered a "Cali Burrito" and it was MASSIVE. I ate the whole thing and it was delicious. It filled me right up. Their drinks were also huge. Free refills too. I plan on eating there again soon. Don't pass it up. A well deserved 5 stars. For less than 20 bucks, my friend and I left totally full and 100% satisfied.

It's been hours since I've eaten there. I've got a sensitive stomach and my stomach had no problems with their food.

I just discovered this place yesterday. I stopped by after work and got 2 orders of asada fries to go. Everybody was very friendly! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Nice music playing in the parking lot. The food is incredible! HUGE portions at great prices! I've spent more money on a couple of orders of nachos at a local fast food place. I'll never do that again now that I know about La Mesa! I would gladly pay twice as much due to the superior quality! Fast, friendly service, some of the most wonderful flavors I've ever tasted and it's just right down the road?! You better believe I'll be back! You just scored a loyal customer!
