I am a home mechanic in my free time. I use harbor freight for all my specialty needs. Compression testers, pullers, ball joint tools, electrical and OBD2, all things like that. If you need sockets get the black ones as they are stronger. Their regular sockets are ok but don't torque on them. Sometimes they leave some misc sizes out of the metric sets but you can use standard sizes to make up for that. You can't beat their prices and warranties and customer service. It is simply the best. Definitely pay the $20 per year for the loyalty card as it pays for itself with 2 or 3 purchases. They are not snap-on or Mac quality but they don't claim to be. For the house it is perfect. Read moreHarbor Freight has the best customer service and warranties. I had a small tool broken out of my 200 piece tool box, the manager was willing to open up another new box just to replace the tool. I told her it was ok, I'd have felt bad for opening a brand new set just for my one tool.
