Subway — Restaurant in Barstow

The subs are alright here. Not amazing, but not horrible. There is usually something wrong with the order with it either being a missed ingredient, over toasted even though they literally have a toasting option which is a single button, or there are other ingredients I didn't ask for.

For a place that is usually always dead, they will sometimes completely ignore drive thru orders or won't be notified that there is someone at the drive through. One time I waited thirty minutes before I went inside and asked why they weren't taking drive thru and the only response I received was that they were busy with other customers inside which was untrue considering I was sitting there for half an hour.

As far as atmosphere goes, it's nearly dead. The flow of foot traffic is almost non-existent and I have no idea how this Subway is still running. Want my advice, take the 6 minute drive to the other Subway at the outlets, that...

I went to this subways drive thru. Nobody else was there except for 1 car in the entire parking lot. I had an online order so the food should have been ready. I said it was a pickup and they said they were busy and to wait. 10 minutes later I spoke up again because they had forgot I was out there. They couldn't hear me through the speaker, so they had me pull up. I told her it was a pickup. She said it wasn't ready (even though I had originally ordered it 30 minutes ago. She then said I had to come inside to receive the food. I refused because that is what a drive thru is for, to get food. She had a scowl on her face. I waited for another 15 minutes for my 2 sandwiches to be made. A man then handed me my food and was kind of rude about it. I have been coming to his subway for many years. I don't like this staff. Please...

The staff was courteous, and the place was clean, it also shares its restaurant area with a ice cream desert place, but we didn't see anyone manning the area so we didn't know if it was opened or closed.

Restrooms were clean. The parking outside was spacious.

It was a little difficult to find initially as it's not exactly on the main road, and even thou Google maps showed us how to get there it didn't mention the little driveway you need to go down to get to it.

Stopping at Barstow station was too crazy for just the two of us to stop and get something to eat, so this was a great little spot to get something to eat quickly, and in quick order to get back on the interstate to continue our trip.
