After a long day of work & studying I decided to visit Marshals. I didn’t need anything just wanted some fresh air out of my office and home and opted from some retail therapy. But an evening out for a healthy break turned into a nightmare when the cashier accused me of putting a red clearance sticker onto an infant toy I attempted to purchase for my business. I felt so disrespected & aggravated I decided to buy nothing. And, I chose not to engage in a verbal spat with an illiterate person. I entered the store with just my wallet & keys in hand. I had no bags or place to store “red clearance tickets” or a sticker making machine so the accusation was simply unbelievable. I think I was much more in shock & sickened that the cashier would accuse me of trying to discount a kids toy that originally cost only $19.99. I own a successful business in town and assure you that a $20 toy isn’t something I need to try to discount. The accusation is just appalling. I’ll never ever shop in this store again. With brick & mortars falling victim to online shopping, Marshals should have better training for their cashiers....
Read moreI usually can tolerate Marshalls but today was not a great experience for my family. We went to Marshalls fairly early today probably around 10am to look at the hot tools. As we were passing through My 4 year decided to press the " press for assistance " button on the glass cabinet. We had already spoke to him about not doing so. Less than a min passes an above average height light skinned middle aged black lady approached and asked if we needed help. We then quickly explained what had happened with our 4 year old and sincerely apologized because I was embarrassed and we were met with obvious irritation and eye rolls. No personality or understanding what so ever. At this point I'm so uncomfortable trying to make sure my kids dont touch anything else while visably irritated about the interaction. He's 4 and pressed a button he wasn't breaking anything or causing a mess. If being at work is such a problem she should find a new one. I think it was the fastest I had ever been in and out...
Read moreI love coming to this Marshalls in Barstow. It's one of the most clean and organized Marshalls I have had the pleasure of venturing into. The Staff is always around with a smile and ready to answer any questions I may have. I am always on the look out for Rae Dunn products, and I'm a regular here, so as soon as I walk in I am delightfully directed to the latest inventory. I love the cleanliness of the restrooms and fittingrooms. My toddler has a particular problem with stinky areas (so much that she will refuse to use them) and the both of us are always happy to walk into these areas and smell a fresh spray! I suggest that if you're close by or even passing through to make a stop by this Marshalls. You wont be...
