Tokyo Grill — Restaurant in Bartlett

I went on Opening day, it was not crowded, everyone greeted me as I walked in the door. You can either go to the middle and order to go or sit down and have dine in service. Menu is extensive with sushi, baked rollls, tempura, appetizers, hibachi dinners, bento boxes, great kids menu and tons of beverage choices. I ordered the houses mixed hibachi, it included a soup or salad, stir fry vegetables, steak,shrimp and chicken in a light sauce with a huge mound of fried rice. This could easily feed 2 people for lunch. I had hot green tea for my beverage, there are many beverage options. The decor is simple and seats are comfy. They have tvs mounted on the corners of the dining room and background music playing. There is plenty of parking in a newly paved lot, rareity for Memphis area (no potholes). Tokyo Grill was pretty cool overall. I wouldn’t say I was wowed, but the food was enjoyable. From what I understand, this spot used to be a CK’s and later a Mexican restaurant. I really liked the unique decor in the dining area. There were a couple of TVs tuned to the Weather Channel (on mute) and pop music playing for ambiance.

I ordered the fried rice with chicken, which was okay but could’ve used some sauce. My dining companion had the hibachi vegetables that included teriyaki sauce, so I asked for a side of that sauce — and it definitely jazzed up my dish a lot. We also tried the spring rolls, and I found them to be fried hard on the outside but mushy and doughy on the inside — not my favorite.

First time visiting any Tokyo Grill and this newest location. I ordered chicken and shrimp hibachi and some sushi takeout at the counter. My order was ready SUPER fast, less than 15 minutes, easy. When I tell yall the food was incredible!! The chicken and shrimp sauce is so thick and delicious. The rice was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Everything was hot when I got home and the amount of food was generous for the price.

My husband had the dynamite roll and said it was so delicious. It was just the right amount of spicy.
