Waffle House — Restaurant in Bartlett

On 09/29/24 I placed an online order. I picked my food up and returned to place another order. Upon my arrival there was one guy in front of me and 2 maybe even 3 customers and 4 workers. I stood in line 10-15 minutes waiting to place my food order. While the cashier walks back and forth. I then asked the cashier if I needed to place my order online “sarcastically”, she said yes it will be quicker because I’m the only cashier! Mind you there’s no in there! I stated, “so ordering my food online is quicker than you taking my order now?” She proceeded to call her co worker name lucky over to take the order. She then asks what’s the problem? I said I’ve been standing here for 20 minutes waiting to place my order. She then states, did you come to the register? As if I’m not in line at the register waiting! I state “yes” I am but this guy in front of me that hasn’t had his order placed! She then asked again what is the problem? I said the problem is, your coworker told me to go online and place my order instead of taking my order! Shen then stated, “ oh I didn’t know she said that to you.” As this is going on a guy with high pitch voice states that the cashier lucky is his cousin and he would have lost his job if that was him! I said lost your job? Sir/Ma’am stay out my business this has nothing to do with you! I’m on the phone with my friend and they asked was I okay and if they needed to come check on me. Seeing that they hear a grown man in the background arguing with me because I was born a woman! After stating that he owns 3 businesses and that I live in apartment and works 7 days a week, he proceeds to the door to exit. The workers states they will not be taking my order! They never wanted to take my order from the time I walked in! If you don’t want to do your job, STAY HOME! Those workers were the most rude, unprofessional, grease smelling people that I have ever met in my life! They need to be fired! Well maybe not! They’re working at Waffle House, their life is...

if I could give no stars, i would. this is the waffle house nearest to my home and we have eaten there many, many times. Yesterday we decided to run in for a quick dinner and everything that could go wrong went wrong. We were 1 of 4 tables in the whole place. The "waiter" walked up to our table and stared at us. Just stood there not talking just staring. I said "we would like 2 waters" and he turned around and walked away. Then (almost like his on button flipped) he asked us if we were ready to order...so we did order. 1 patty melt and 1 hashbrown sausage bowl. Dude came to the table with silverware and again just stood there holding the silverware. Not speaking. Nothing. it was so weird. So I pulled out napkins for him to set the silverware on and he set them down in the most awkward way possible and walked away. Then we watched him stand around. Pull up his pants. Talk to the cook, everything except bring us 2 waters. I watched our food get plated.....I watched the guy stand. I made eye contact with him finally and he suddenly remembered the waters.....he brought us 3 ice cubes in a HALF FILLED glass of water. Super weird. Still our food sat there. Once he decided to get the food and brought it to us, it was cold. The burger was cooked beyond belief and my hashbrown bowl was both undercooked and burnt. (kinda impressive actually) We decided to cut our losses and leave. Unfortunately we wont be back. The quality has decreased to the point McDonalds is a better choice and that sucks. I'm very disappointed at this location my son & I are visiting from out of town was looking forward to eating the waffle house because we don't have one in our area. We walk in wasn't greeted and stood by register for 5min no one acknowledge us, we finally asked if we should seat ourselves, we were given a nod to seat our selves. Sat at our table for 10min no oneassisted us, it wasnt busy and they had more than enough workers! After waiting a waiter finally asked what we wanted to drink, she came back with warm lemonade..she took our order and didn't write it down. After about 5min another waiter came over and asked what we wanted to order says the other lady didn't put the order in..we decided to leave and take our money else where.. This is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!! The sign out door says now hiring friendly folks and no one was friendly! Time for a new staff with people who do their job!!! This location kitchen looked very nasty and not clean we noticed that when walking out too.The manager that was working at the time name was Candi and after speaking with a employee was told a shift changed was going on and that's why the waiter probably didn't get order in.
