I ordered a pizza from their "Secret" menu. It is called the grease bucket. I'm guessing it's an ironic name. As you can see, there is nothing greasy or drenched in grease or oil on this pizza or crust. If anything, this pizza should be called the "Sand Pit" because it's crusty and more dry than the Sahara desert. Cheese on a pizza should not harden in the time it takes to come out of the oven and reach the table. You can see in the picture how they skimp on the toppings. To top things off (pun not intended), I told the waitress that I wanted to swap Canadian bacon for mushrooms. Needles to say, my order was not made like I asked. The waitress admitted to making a mistake and wanted to rectify her mistake by bringing me sautéed mushrooms instead of having my order corrected. Basically, saying, "I messed up your order, but you're gonna eat it the way it is." It took almost 45 minutes just to get my cold pizza, the first time around. Little Caesers makes a better pizza for a lower price and with a generous amount of toppings. The pizza was terrible as well as the service and overall experience. I won't be returning to this establishment. One good note was that their wings are spectacular. If you decide to eat here, avoid ordering a pizza at all costs.

update to restaurant reply Your waitress and manager flat out lied to you. The waitress never asked me if i wanted my food right away or when the rest of the party received their orders. I had not eaten a slice of the pizza when I informed my waitress that the pizza was not how i ordered. I would've liked to have liked to have had my pizza remade, but the waitress ONLY offered the sautéed mushrooms. Only one option, as if it would've come out of her pay if she had to have pizza remade. Would I really be angry or even mention that the waitress did not offer to remake my pizza or even remove it from my bill if she did? Would a party member at my table bring it to the attention of the manager in charge when she came to our table if it were untrue? If this were so, I would not have a leg to stand on, and I wouldn't have left a negative review. By the time the manager came to our table, we were ready to settle the check so we could leave. The manager did not offer to remake the pizza. The manager only agreed that the waitress should have had it remade. Not exactly as they described it to you, huh? The poor customer service I received that night was one of the many things I found unsatisfactory. The attempt at resolving the matter only presented itself when it was time to settle the check as we were about to leave. Nobody was going to wait around for a pizza to be made at that point. I stand to gain nothing by lying about these particular employees or what happened that night. This review is not to get anyone fired, and it definitely won't shut down your business. I'm just stating what happened to me and what my experience was, period. The fact that someone else picked up the tab doesn't justify the terrible service either, since you found it necessary to mention that. Could it be that we received poor service because we are soldiers of the United States Army and were in uniform that night? Maybe it rubbed the waitress the wrong way. If everything was as the employees said, you wouldn't have read a negative review, but a positive one. I have better things to do with my time than to blatantly lie about a business...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Neighbors Kitchen and Yard, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt the warm and inviting atmosphere of this charming establishment.

First and foremost, the food at Neighbors Kitchen and Yard is truly outstanding. The menu offers a diverse range of dishes, each prepared with care and expertise. Whether you're in the mood for classic comfort food or more adventurous flavors, Neighbors Kitchen and Yard has something to satisfy every palate. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and presented beautifully.

The ambiance of the restaurant is another highlight. The rustic and cozy interior, adorned with tasteful decor, creates a welcoming and relaxed dining environment. The outdoor seating area is equally inviting, with its picturesque setting and a lovely view of the surroundings. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while soaking in the atmosphere.

The staff at Neighbors Kitchen and Yard deserve special recognition for their exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The waitstaff were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. They provided helpful recommendations and took the time to accommodate any special dietary preferences or requests.

Another remarkable feature of Neighbors Kitchen and Yard is their commitment to supporting local farmers and businesses. They source many of their ingredients locally, which not only enhances the quality and freshness of the food but also contributes to the sustainability of the community.

In conclusion, Neighbors Kitchen and Yard is a hidden gem that truly surpassed my expectations. In one word: Superb. We came here after numerous recommendations from locals and wow were they right. Everything was right up our alley. There was a wait of 40 minutes for a table for two on a busy Thursday evening around 7:00. We were able to order a drink and sit at the bar and the service we got was excellent from a young long man with blonde hair, I wish I knew his name so I could commend him on his friendly cheerful service. When it was time to be seated we almost stayed inside but the evening was beautiful so we went out to the patio to eat. They have a text system so we were notified by phone that our table was ready and we had 10 minutes to settle up and be seated, it was all very easy. Our waitress outside was Jackie and she was so fun, she made great recommendations, checked in with us numerous times and definitely added to the experience. The food was excellent, we had wings as an appetizer and they were great, it didn’t hurt that we were starving! I ordered a half Caesar and a figgy calzones. The salad was very good as was the calzone, I’ve never seen some of the combinations they have on their menu and I love that they are so adventurous. My husband had the meatball sandwich and he enjoyed it very much, the meatballs were perfectly cooked and not at all dry as meatballs typically are. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, we were very happy with the bill and had leftovers today! The atmosphere is fun with fiesta lights making for a great vibe. While this restaurant does have river views, most of the tables, including ours have no view. This deserves a visit and a five star rating. The restroom was clean and well stocked but tough for us tall gals, the door is so close that my knees...

My husband and I got married in the Bastrop area last weekend and Neighbors was a great little place for friends and family to meet up. We had been there on one of our planning trips before, but pretty late in the evening and only for drinks. It's even more special during the day! The Thursday before our wedding, my immediate family and I headed to Neighbors for lunch. We started as 5 but as more and more people arrived to town, the table grew to 15 or more. The staff was more than understanding! They never complained about rearranging or new additions. I told the server she was fine to just order as people were ready and she did just that. Friday (day before wedding), we had a patio table for us to mingle with the groom's high school crew and collectively nurse our hangovers. It was perfect. Again, no shade from the server about people coming and going and she even let us have a coffee from the neighboring shop on the table. Sunday (day after the wedding), my sisters and I sat in the outdoor area to enjoy live music and drinks. The service was a tiny bit bumpy this day, but this area is really far from the building and our guy fixed everything we asked him to with a smile one! Can't ask for more than that! As a foodie, I will say that some menu items were great and some just ok (nothing bad though!). The drinks are great, but the ambiance and atmosphere is what keeps you coming back! A wonderful spot for drinks and spectacular views!
