Today was the worst experience I've had as a Retired Army Combat Veteran. The bartender who was wearing the "I Love Football" T-shirt ignored me as I was sat at the bar for 7 minutes. A white couple shortly came in, sat next to me. She finally walk over and asked if anyone helped me. I responded back, no ma'am. I told her i would like a Michelob Ultra and a menu. She brought back the beer and menu. Immediately engaged the couple with a smile all cheerful. Asked them what they wanted to drink, do they need a menu. What brought them in. Explained to them the town downtown area since they were visiting. Mind you, so was I. Took there order got them their drinks. Came back informed the two their food was placed. Walked off to assist others around the bar. Made her way back to me and asked if was ready to order. I politely say no and slid the menu back to her. I began to watch her actions as well as the game. It was unprofessional and sad. I wouldn't advise any veteran especially (black) to ever support this place due to the bartender actions, more importantly, her mindset. I feel sorry for people like her because Soldiers and other Service members look like me, fight day in and day out, even have made the ultimate sacrifice and died for freedom and to be treated equal , with dignity and respect. I hope the management and ownership take appropriate action. I come to town quite often because my mother in law...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went on a Friday night to watch the Astros World Series Game 3. After walking through 6-8 people standing 3 feet front the front door blowing cigarette smoke in your face the bar was packed but there was an open table. We took this as a good sign but boy were we wrong. As we walk in the bartender greeted us and told us to have a seat anywhere which made a good impression however we must have sat in the wrong place because it took 10 minutes for our server to get to the table. While waiting, there was no drink menu on the table to look at but there was someone's used dental pick on the table and food under the table you couldn't help but step on to find. Finally the server arrived. The karaoke music was so loud we had to practically yell our order. She may have been new because she didn't know if the offered the beer I like and didn't know if the bartender knew what a rum punch was. Eventually we got our drinks and weren't overly impressed with the quality. There were a lot of people there having fun but I noticed my server would stand around the soda machine or be dancing on the dance floor instead of checking on us. After I sat there for 30 min with an empty glass I decided we weren't drinking any more payed and left. At least...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhy why WHY would you reserve tables at the start time of game one of the World Series for karaoke???? Why????? Seriously whyyyyyyyyy? I waited for people to leave only to be told over and over that table was reserved now. People were standing around and leaving so a dude can sit there taking up spots doing nothing. I didnāt stick around to see if he actually had the nerve to sing š¤Æš¤Æš¤Æš¤Æ
Every bartender and waitress in there was unhelpful and rude except Emily. She guided me to a table that she thought we could sit with, was kind and patient during a crazy rush. Sheās the ONLY reason Iād ever go back there. The steak and wings were good too. But good GAWD where is the Texas charm?
Edit I tried again today. Changing stars to one. Asked if I could do chili instead of a salad and she said yes but thereās an up charge. Was charged full price for CRAZY spicy inedible chili(5$) and didnāt get a salad. Thatās not an up charge, thatās a full charge. Sheās new and sweet but the manager did not fix the mistake for her. I give up on...
