CC's Coffee House — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

I recieved horrible service here today. When I went through the drive thru, the associate wasn't very friendly or clear in communicating with me over the intercom. I asked for an iced latte sweetened. He confirmed my order and I said "yes, and sweetened." He confirmed that I said sweetened then gave me my total. When I got to the window we exchange money and my drink. After handing me my drink, he turns his back to the me. I struggled to get his attention again when I needed napkins, despite that he was still standing by the window. I called a few times but he never turned around. The barista who was even further away from the window had to get his attention. I digress. After pulling off and taking a sip of my drink I realized that it was not sweetened. I turned around, parked, and went inside this time. I kindly mentioned to the barista that my drink was not sweetened as I originally asked. In a very snide tone, he said "Well there are a lot of different sweeteners" Another barista chimed in saying "If you want your drink sweetened you should ask in the drive thru." I told them both that I did and I was not asked what kind of sweetener, so I assumed they knew that meant simple syrup (as is the case at ANY other coffee shop, including CCs that I've been to). One of the baristas said "well I don't work the drive thru" and dismissed himself from the conversation. The other asked what kind of sweetener I wanted. I told him simple syrup, he sweetened it and then I was on my way. I just feel that I should not have received that kind of attitude from THREE associates about something that was not MY error. This may seem frivolous, however being that I work in retail management, I know much better ways that situation could have been handled. Needless to say I will not return to...

CC’s Coffee is my absolute favorite spot to treat myself and enjoy some much-needed “me time.” The coffee here, hands down the best—it’s comforting, uplifting, and exactly what I need to recharge. Recently, I decided to bring my “brother from another mother” along to share the experience. Little did I know, he’d start teasing me, convinced that I have a crush on someone at the coffee shop (why? I honestly have no idea!).

The funny part? My brother took it upon himself to bring me back multiple times, determined to play matchmaker with the guy he thinks I’m crushing on. Did I confirm or deny? Of course not—I let him have his fun! But honestly, my real crush is on the coffee itself. And hey, I’m not complaining—whenever my brother’s around, he doesn’t let me pay for a thing. So why spoil the fun and say anything about the so-called crush?

First of all, let me preface this with the fact that I have worked for CC's as a barista years ago. More recently, I've been coming to this location for several years and the quality used to be much better. But today, I noticed that quality has declined.

My cafe au lait was mostly warm milk, without the flavor I had ordered. Then when I asked for some coffee to be added to it, I got back just a black coffee.

Then there was loud, rambunctiousness of the baristas. They were cutting up, laughing at jokes while the lobby had crumbs on tables and the trash can was near over-flowing. The lack of customer service, which is know CC's prides itself on, was the final nail in the coffin for me.
