McDonald's — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

I know, right! It's McDonald's. But as I've said before, people make the difference.

What a wonderful experience to see teamwork, customer service and genuinely joyful youth! The young ladies working the counter, drive through and back line moved harmoniously-they stayed out of each other's way while assisting one another. It was like watching a ballet: fries being cooked, delivering a straw, running the cash register. Awesome!

Even more exciting was my belief that all were under the age of 21, and the shift manager is a recent high school graduate on her way to college! When so many youth seem to be self absorbed and wanting others to give them something for nothing, these ladies were working hard to ensure a phenomenal customer expedience!

Now, the food. THAT TOO WAS AWESOME! !!! Freshly prepared quarter pounder with cheese-Oh, scrumptious! Well done French fries? Crispy and hot!

The for star rating is because the building had only one outlet for customers to charge their phone. With this limitation, the one outlet didn't work properly. Boo.

This is the first review I've ever left. It was that bad. We go to McDonald's a lot more than I ever expected, but my kid likes Happy Meals. So we've developed a standard. Well we're on a roadtrip and we stop at this McDonald's, and this place is well below that standard. The trash was overflowing, if not all over the floor; no ice in the ice machine; three drinks worked (only a few even had stickers to tell the flavor); no napkins (I did see a girl stock them as we were leaving). Behind the counter was even worse: fries were ground into mashed potatoes on the floor; packets were scattered across the ground and clearly had been there a while as they were stepped on; trash was between the counters; they had a pineapple slushy drink special that no one cleaned. The bathroom was stopped up and over flowing, with cigarette butts in the urinal. The staff was nice and polite enough, and I almost left two stars because of this, but as soon as we got to the car my wife was immediately feeling sick. Stopped a few exits down, and now venting in a Bass Pro Shop parking lot. Give 'em an "F,"...

I didnt intend to give one star actually. It doesnt help them that i worked in their system, took pride in my work at store 22. So they gave me raw sausage with my hotcakes. (This happens because the cooking surface isnt up to temp, or someone tried to speed up the process. I even overheard them in the back say "i dont know why they turned that side of the grill off..mgmt says "he doesnt think they are cooked" correct because i know they are not cooked)...u can look at them and tell)So, when i took them back in, and asked to have them cook them a little more?) Apparantly staff doesn understand what the sausage looks like when cooked correctly.(when both sides of patty are browned perfectly not smashed and crusty which is what happens when u "run" meat through the process a 2nd time) when they finally done it right, the patties came out perfectly...management gets a bit smart assy too...funny..but it took 3 people to get it done...all that said thats a common issue the staff rarely gets right...the antiquated response is always" ITS DONE" but i gurantee they wouldnt...
