Panda Express — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Omg so over the year's I've heard about the Panda Express and I've seen it but never tried bc well I'm type of person I like to stick to what I know lol But one Day My Husband and I went into gnc and could smell Panda Express and I was like they smell good and My Husband was like seriously they are you needa try them do you wanna go I was like naw I wanna go get a salad but then I was like what heck let's go I'll try it lol so we went and of course he's had it many time's working out of state so he says it's all good I was like I'm just scared it's to spicy bc I like spicy but not to just mild spice so when we walked in the place was nice clean and altogether chill place I spotted right away what I wanted so I got the Firecracker shrimp on top of fried rice and I'm going to say this it was truly amazing I was beyond surprised it wasn't to hot at all So few weeks later we went back and of course I got what I knew was good the Firecracker shrimp My Husband chose a few different things which he knew he liked it all so I told him I was going to get a small beef and broccoli, small orange chicken, and chow mein noodles lol if I didn't like or want My Husband would eat it lol but surprisingly it was all BEYOND DELICIOUS FOOD wasn't dry wasn't old tasting wasn't hard it was all PERFECT So YESSSSS I would RECOMMEND

NEXT Time I believe I needa Get the Family Feast bc I do believe My 10 year old Daughter would enjoy it bc like I said the spice wasn't bad at all and I'm for sure My 17 year old son would enjoy lol :))

Great Chinese food (despite unauthentic), but discrimination service received when we went in to order a takeaway. We are a Chinese family with kids, so two factors may be the reason, race and family with kids. If you get one of them, be aware. Baton Rouge is not a city with many Asians. So at first I was quite happy when seeing the young Asian lady working there, although she’s not Chinese American.

However, before I could say anything, she cut off right at us. (I work at a public school so no way I was doing anything inappropriate here, besides, I hadn’t even talked to her or showed any expressions.)

In front of us were two tall guys, behind us was a family with kids, that’s all in the waiting line. We all had been waiting there at the same time. So the staff could have taken all the three orders. But! When it’s our turn, the young lady and another elder lady as well as a guy just started to fill in the boxes for both printed out orders and orders through phone.

After more than 10 minutes, literally, I asked when would be our turn. The young lady said after these printed out orders. Then eventually it’s our turn, she gave us a smaller portion - I’ve seen the orders she had done for others while waiting. She also used an impatient attitude.

I love Panda Express and I go to this location frequently and have never had a problem. It’s also worth noting I never leave reviews for a place even when I have a bad experience because it never genuinely bothers me that much. BUT! Today I go through the drive through and order some orange chicken, and they ask would I mind waiting 5 minutes for the orange chicken and I said of course that’s fine. This is at 3:40 pm (time stamped on the receipt). They tell me to pull up to the front of the store and wait, so I do. Around 4 o’clock I go into the store just to get an ETA since it’s been well over five minutes, and they tell me “yeah it’s got about 5 minutes left you can just go wait back in your car”. Okay. Tell me why it’s now 4:25 and I still don’t have my order. I’m not upset at the length of time it’s taking, I’m upset that on two occasions I was told “5 minutes” when I have been here for over 30 minutes. Like be upfront about how long it’s going to take. If I would’ve known I’d have to wait for 30+ minutes I wouldn’t have said yes to waiting?? I would have just gone to chick fil a?? Ridiculous. I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be waiting and again it isn’t the wait that is bothering me, it’s that I was told by two different people on two different occasions that it would take five minutes and here I am nearly 40 minutes...
