Customer service is horrible now because they're overwhelmed with service and can't handle it. I been supporting this business since day 1 since they open I was a top customer. I travel 40mins on my off days because I live outside the city but I work for the city just to get their food. So I place my order over the phone like I always do so it'll be ready for pickup when I get there. They told me it'll be ready in 20mins I get there it's a long line, I didn't think nothing of it because I placed mines over the phone already. They had the nerve to get loud with me and tell me to get in line with the walk ins because it's only 1 register. So not only did I drive 40mins because as I mentioned I was off today, I also had to stand in a 30min line as well and be talked to nasty. So no I didn't want the food because although I ordered it, it still wasn't ready and then the guy tells me good leave. I will never support this business again. If you can't run a business professionally once it starts picking up don't open it. Your business been picking up lately due to word of mouth, "my recommendation!" Those city employees are my co workers silly rabbits and thank you for talking to me the way you did I will pass that along as well. Have a great...
Read moreNikk B Local Guide·22 reviews I completely agree with this review I could not have said it better! And this was from five months ago!!!!! Today is 6/19/2025 Cabbage and rice full of pepper no seasoning, rice was on mushy side. The oxtails were under seasoned. Spent too much money for the 3 small pieces of meat and not being able to eat the sides because of the amount of pepper. Will not try again! Sorry please do better 5 months ago Dine in | Dinner | $50–100 Royal Taste of Jamaica.... Does not fit the description of the food I received today.. To spend 65$ on 2 plates and not to be able to enjoy it because it was so full of pepper and not to mention the portions are a insult to Any Authentic Restaurant. Rice,Peas and cabbage are very inexpensive. I support the hustle but it hard for everyone. Coming from Florida where real Authentic jamaican food can be found this could never compete. NO customer service which is not like Jamaicans they are very welcoming especially to people who patronage their business.. This one start is too much for the service I received today. I paid 65$ for not even 20$ worth of food.. The mac and cheese was 4$ and it was a 1/2 of a serving.... Again God is...
Read moreI am from Trinidad and I lived I Orlando for over a decade so there was many Jamaican restaurants to choose from and I ate at one weekly. The food here is so good. It's amazing. It's better that the most well known Jamaican restaurant chain in the US. I am giving 5 starts because the food was so good and me being from the Caribbean, I am a hard critic so if I say it's good, it really is. I had the curry shrimp and the jerk chicken. I do have a couple complaints, the portion size are small for the price you pay. But finding a Jamaican restaurant in Baton Rouge that is really good is definitely great. Try this place out, you won't regret it. Updated review: I changed my review to 4 stars instead of 5 because as much as the taste is great, the value is not great. Ordered a large curry shrimp today and got more sauce than shrimp. I counted it and there was a total of 6 shrimp. The value just wasn't there for...
