Chan's Garden — Restaurant in Bay City

Whew what a disgusting place! I'm so livid about my food I ordered before work. I ordered orange chicken and chicken FRIED rice. The rice is steamed and not fried at all! I don't understand. I called to complain and they agreed to remake my order and deliver it to my job because I couldn't leave. I appreciated that very much however when they brung back my 2nd meal it looked exactly the same but this time slimy as if they spat in it or did something worst. I did not trust it and threw it out. What a waste of almost $20 and I'm still left hungry as I gave them back my 1st order. I would NEVER recommend this place to not even a dog. The orange chicken is not orange flavored at all. Idk who back there cooking but it certainly isn't Chinese people! And that's what I except coming from a Chinese restaurant. I work for a big corporation and made sure I told the plant about this place with pictures to prove. Another time I ordered sizzling rice and they didn't put the rice in there. I had to go back. This was my last straw. Food cost too much and I work hard for my money.

Edit to response: Wow and you're liars?? None of what you're saying is true. I pay very good money for my food with no issues. I expect quality service and quality food. AND YOUR RESTAURANT HAS NEITHER!!! JUST FILTHY! I am financially blessed to be able to pay whatever I want on a meal and I fine dine often as well as donate often to those in need. That's neither here nor there. Asking about clarification about pricing is NOT complaining! Get it right. Of course I was shocked of the $7/8 uncharge of added chicken and green onion to a combo meal. I go to lots of different restaurants and that was a 1st for me. Asking and complaining is 2 different things. And you're lying about the soy sauce. You didn't include any in the 1st order and I asked for extra soy sauce over the phone with the 2nd order so why would you lie. Then yall tried to be funny by putting over 20 soy sauce in the bag. My co workers are my witnesses even heard the whole order/ conversation. And the original order was asked for and I gave to your driver as he requested so what are you talking about liar wow. Terrible on yall behalf. But that's okay because you'll never get my business again! Truth is the truth and a lie will be a lie. God bless...

I came here because I was craving Chinese food and I just happened to be downtown in Bay City so I came here I ordered from the window for my husband and I a varied amount of different flavors and so we ended up getting the chicken mushroom, then the Kung Pao chicken without peanuts, in general Tao's chicken I like spicy food my husband does not so he got the mushroom chicken and I got the other two The Kung Pao chicken I had never had before and I loved it and the servings were so huge that I'm still eating my serving today the second day and I still have some leftover for tomorrow so it gives you plenty of food for almost 3 days just fantastic and then I just have it for different meals like sometimes breakfast right now it's lunch tomorrow it'll be dinner again so it's just wonderful so everything I had was delicious and I really like the general Taos chicken it was the sauce was just so divine and it was so nice on the fried rice that I got. I also got an egg roll and a spring roll. My husband got the ham fried rice He really enjoyed that. All in all a very good experience and when I'm craving Chinese food again I will definitely come here. It's easy to get to an easy to get out of town too so it's just a really great...

Good food, decent price.

I used to live in Bay City but moved to Indianapolis area 10 years ago. During a recent visit to see family, I decided to see what new places were around to eat at. Chan's had opened after I left for Indy, so decided to give them a try. It's a small place, but looked clean. The staff was very polite and helpful with the questions I had for them. I ended up getting a General Tso's Chicken combo, with Egg Drop soup and Fried Rice, along with a drink. Total came to $9.43, which I thought was reasonable. The wait for my food was fairly short and the food itself was good. It was by no means spectacular, but it was on the upper end of hole-in-the-wall Chinese places. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, the fried rice was decent, but the egg drop soup was just a little too thick. I ate it anyways, but would have preferred a little fresher. Next time I visit, I think I'll get food...
