Stables — Restaurant in Bay City

I have been a customer at this place for many years!! The staff is wonderful, my favorite is Kristy, MY BEERTENDER!! The food is fair. The beer is ALWAYS cold. The bands they schedule here are mostly the best of the best of local talent!! My favorites include Steve Armstrong & the 25 Cent Beer Band, Dani Vitany & Ten Hands Tall, and Jedi Mind Trip. I like watching the line dancing. Cannot wait until summer when the outside bar and seating reopens. From what I understand, "back in the day," this place use to house horses. The horse stables have comfortable couches and chairs to sit on.....nice when you go in with a group of friends....and if someone gets outta hand, you could always close the door and lock em in there!! There is a pool table and a cigar room to choose from the various cigars. YES, YOU CAN SMOKE CIGARS IN THIS JOINT, JUST NO CIGARETTES!! OVERALL, A NICE PLACE TO ENJOY WITH...

If I could, I would have this be a zero. I love this place, but over the last few years the quality of the drinks have drastically declined. My family and I go to the stables often, I'd say over the last 10 years. My experience last night was horrible. Not only did we wait 30 minutes for our drinks, our drinks were terrible. The red laced panty martini is suppose to have raspberry puree in it, it didn't last night. They put way too much strawberry syrup in the glass, and too much cream. The cream was not shaken with the rest of the drink and curdled. It was undrinkable. Both my wife and I didn't finish our drinks. My sister had the Godfather and said that it was nothing like it use to be. Terrible experience,...

Great music and bands. Crowded at times. Not a smoker, but I enjoy the chance to dance so I make due. Wait staff is generally very good. Drinks are excellent. One nite they ran out of some drink mixes or they just did not know what they were doing. Was not correct. You need to guard your drinks or they might be picked up before you finish them by the wait staff. Still not gonna keep me from going there. They have a karaoke section with a bar. Lots of fun there. There is another section, but it usually smells like skunk. Music...
