The Mexico Pavilion at Epcot is a journey into the heart of Mexican culture, art, and flavor—all without leaving the magic of Disney! From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a beautifully immersive world that captures the vibrant spirit of Mexico in every detail.
The highlight is the indoor plaza, designed to look like a festive Mexican marketplace at dusk. The atmosphere is enchanting, with twinkling lights, colorful displays, and the lively energy of a true Mexican village. Strolling through the marketplace is an experience in itself, with handcrafted goods, traditional art, and unique souvenirs to take home.
The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is a charming boat ride that’s perfect for all ages. It’s a lighthearted and delightful journey through Mexico’s culture, with Donald Duck and his friends adding a playful touch. It’s relaxing, fun, and a great way to cool off on a hot day.
When it comes to food and drinks, the Mexico Pavilion truly shines. La Cava del Tequila is an absolute must-visit for tequila enthusiasts and cocktail lovers. Their margaritas are legendary—try the Avocado Margarita for something unique and refreshing. For dining, San Angel Inn Restaurante offers authentic Mexican cuisine with a view of the indoor plaza’s serene waterway, creating a romantic and unforgettable setting.
The pavilion’s outdoor area is equally impressive, with its iconic pyramid entrance and lush landscaping that feels straight out of a tropical paradise. During festivals like the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, the outdoor food kiosks serve incredible Mexican dishes that add to the experience.
Whether you’re exploring the vibrant marketplace, enjoying delicious margaritas, or taking in the rich culture of Mexico, the pavilion is a standout in Epcot’s World Showcase. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to be enchanted by the sights, sounds, and flavors of this incredible country....
Read moreMexico is awesome. They always have the best food during the festivals, especially food and wine festival. Which if you are going in 2024 please try the flauta. It is perfectly crispy but also soft and the beef is amazing. If you haven’t had Barbacoa, you need to try it. I never drink the margaritas there only because they fill you up so much but if you ever wanna get non-festival food it is the place to go. It really feels authentic and it taste amazing. When you walk into Mexico, I love the shops and the tequila bar is awesome. You have to try the avocado margarita at least once just to say you did. I didn’t love it, but you still have to try it. The grand fiesta tour ride is cute but it’s the best just to get an AC break. Don’t expect to be wowed. Probably perfect to entertain kids and to get a break. There’s never a long line and it’s good to just go to take a break honestly. But it is one of my favorite pavilions to go to, and it is full of life. If you get to experience the mariachi band, the music is beautiful. I always seem to walk over there whenever they’re playing. Also, I love the day of the dead when you first walk in! Always ready to see Coco at a Disney park that is one of my favorite...
Read moreThe Mexico Pavilion is located inside the Epcot. It is part of the World Showcase, which is a section of the park dedicated to representing different countries. I am so happy that I got to experience this magical place where I felt like I was actually back in Mexico experiencing some of its culture and traditions.
The Pavilion's exterior is modeled after ancient Mayan and Aztec structures, specifically the El Castillo pyramid at Chichen Itza and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl at Teotihuacan. Once you are inside, you'll find shops, restaurants (including the San Angel Inn), a bar, and carts selling Mexican crafts and goods. In the evening, the place is coverted to night time lighting and is so beautiful!
You can sign up for a gentle boat ride that takes you through the sights and sounds of Mexico, featuring Donald Duck and his friends. It's really beautiful at night. While dining at San Angel, you can watch the boats float by. The entire time there is lovely Disney music playing. This was a very worthwhile experience and I would love to...
