My girlfriend and I had dinner at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at Disney World, and while the food and ambiance were lovely, the real highlight of our experience was our incredible server, Brett.
From the moment we sat down (around 10pm), Brett was warm, energetic, and genuinely kind—he has such a strong, poppy personality that instantly made us feel welcome. Despite it being late and the restaurant mostly empty, he treated us with the same excitement and care you’d expect during peak dinner hours.
What truly stood out was how he went the extra mile—he noticed it was my girlfriend’s first time at Tony’s and surprised her with a special “First Visit” button, which meant a lot. But even beyond the service, Brett was a joy to talk to. As he cleaned the tables around us, we chatted for about 20 minutes about all things Disney and Orlando—he gave us great tips, shared fun stories, and just made us laugh. You could tell how much he loves what he does and where he works.
People like Brett are the reason Disney is so magical. He didn’t just serve us dinner—he made our night extremely memorable. Disney is very lucky to have someone like him on their team, and we hope he gets the recognition he deserves.
If you dine at Tony’s on a Thursday, Friday, or Sunday, ask for Brett. Trust me—you’ll leave smiling.
Additionally, beyond the incredible service, Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is truly a staple at Magic Kingdom. From the delectable appetizers to the beautiful ambience, this restaurant is a must do at Disney. The food was phenomenal from start to finish. We kicked things off with the garlic bread with cheese fondue—crispy, golden bread with a rich, creamy cheese dip that was absolutely addictive. We also had the sausage gnocchi soup, full of flavor and warmth, and the caprese, which was incredibly fresh and light.
For our main course, we ordered the chicken parmesan and the spaghetti and meatballs—both were hearty, comforting, and classic Italian done right. The chicken was perfectly breaded and tender, and the sauce on both dishes had that authentic, home-style taste.
Dessert didn’t disappoint either. We shared the tiramisu, which was rich and creamy with just the right coffee flavor, and the flourless chocolate cake topped with pistachio cream and cherries—a standout with its perfect balance of deep chocolate, nutty cream, and a pop of fruity tartness.
All in all, our dinner at Tony’s was everything we could’ve hoped for and more—delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and truly outstanding service. Brett went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, appreciated, and part of the magic. It’s rare to meet someone who leaves such a lasting impression, and we’ll remember this night for a long time thanks to him. Disney is lucky to have Brett on their team, and guests are even luckier to be served by him. We can’t wait...

Review:
What a gem in the heart of Disney's Magic Kingdom! Tony's Town Square Restaurant truly exceeded my expectations in every facet. My prior reservation made all the difference, allowing me to bypass the regular queue and, within mere minutes, find myself in a family-friendly setting that exuded the charm of a classic Italian trattoria. The ambiance effortlessly draws you into the world of "Lady and the Tramp," with murals depicting cherished moments from the film and the enchanting fountain featuring our beloved canine duo.
The garden salad was an absolute delight, speaking of the food. Juicy tomatoes, finely shaved carrots that added the right crunch, and olives that provided a hint of saltiness were all brought together with a spot-on balsamic dressing. The chicken parmigiana deserves special mention. Describing its perfection could almost feel like an understatement. The chicken was tender and cooked just right, enveloped in a light, crispy breading. The sauce was robust and perfectly seasoned, while the mozzarella melted beautifully, leaving a memorable taste. Paired with al dente pasta, it made for a culinary masterpiece.
I was pleasantly full after Having an early dinner, combined with the generous portion sizes. And even though I was eager to try their delicious dessert offerings like Tiramisù, Cannoli, Italian Strawberry Shortcake, Gelato, and Tony's Spumoni Tart, I decided to save that experience for another visit. Plus, I wanted to explore other culinary delights within the kingdom before my departure.
The well-curated mix of classic rock, pop, and Disney tunes further heightened the atmosphere. It was the cherry on top at just the right volume for enjoyment without hampering conversation. The decor, reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century trattoria with its whitewashed railings, French doors, and expansive front porch, encapsulated the magic that is Walt Disney World.
Moreover, parents will be delighted to know that Tony's has an expansive kids' menu. For those interested in a drink or with specific dietary needs, a good range of beers, cocktails, and allergy-friendly food options exist.
In wrapping up, Tony's Town Square Restaurant stands out not as a theme park eatery but as a destination. It seamlessly merges the magic of a Disney classic with bona fide Italian culinary craftsmanship. Whether it's a romantic evening or a memorable family meal, this Main Street, U.S.A. jewel is not to be missed. The harmonious blend of dishes, impeccable service, and unmatched ambiance ensures a truly magical experience. Highly...
Read moreSo my girlfriend and I come here as our last Disney dinner before our annual passes get blacked out for the summer. We make reservations and arrive on time. We are seated promptly. We have a nice server and a server who was "earning his ears." I love Disney. Lol.
Anywho, the restaurant was a nice, clean, Italian-ish layout. It was very nonchalant, and I liked it. We ordered an appetizer. Calamari (with Peppers and Lemon-Caper Aïoli). This was actually surprisingly good. I like a good calamari that has flavor without needing to be dunked in sauce. And the sauce was nice, too. The lemony-salty caper flavor paired well with the salt and pepper calamari pieces. Don't put too much stake in the word peppers, though. I think I got like three peppers total on my plate.
We each ordered an entree. I got the Italian Trio (Three classic favorites on one dish - Chicken Parmigiana, Baked Rigatoni, and Fettuccine Alfredo) and she got the Ravioli (Goat Cheese filled Ravioli with Seasonal Vegetables and Sun-dried Tomato-Pesto Cream). -The Italian Trio was probably the main reason this place got a two star rating from me. The chicken parm was a little overcooked, dry, and chewy. The rigatoni was literally burned in one place and the pasta was crispy and charred because of it. Maybe from the blow torch that they used to melt the cheese on top? And the alfredo was just bland. It was white sauce on noodles. -My girlfriend's ravioli was a little bit better, but it wasn't very memorable. The goat cheese was nice, but it was strong. I like a strong goat cheese flavor, but if you don't, skip this dish. And the cream sauce was nicely flavored with sun-dried tomatoness.
For dessert, we got a coffee, Alto Mayo Protected Forest Coffee Press Pot (Serves Two) (Roasted by Joffrey's Coffee®. Disney supports Conservation International's Alto Mayo Protected Forest project in Peru, which promotes sustainable coffee growing and economic growth). This was my first experience with a French press coffee pot. It was nice. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but with some cream, I liked it just fine. Not too bitter.
And finally, for real dessert, we got the Tiramisú (Kahlúa Espresso-soaked Lady Fingers and Whipped Mascarpone topped with Mocha Cream). The cream was very soft and not too sweet, and with a bite of those lady fingers, it blasts that taste of Kahlua espresso in your mouth, and you're like, "oh, this is good."
Overall, I liked some parts of this place, but I would skip this if I were you....
