Teddy’s Place — Restaurant in Bayonne

This is a hard review to write. The food here is very good and fresh. If your going to eat at Teddys eat in the actual restaurant. The reason for the two stars is the take out and delivery is terrible. The order is always wrong, and the people ( not managers) that work there couldnt care. But the worst is when you pay over the phone they write your credit card number with expiration down on the menu when they deliver it. Now for me this is a problem. My information should never be written down on a menu. Not only that, but even when I call and request they dont do it THEY STILL DO. When I complained to the manager he just said, they didn't realize. My message to management is hire more competent people that actually care. Its a shame cause the food is good. But the employees will end up making me not order anymore. Update 01/23/17: I will not order here anymore, when I call to place an order for delivery the manager complains there is too much traffic and the driver doesn't feel like delivering. This to me is ridiculous. You are losing business because your driver doesn't want to do their job? I have a message for the manager. HIRE PEOPLE WHO WILL DO THE JOB OR YOU WILL CONTINUE TO...

I had gotten a menu from a neighbor. I was tired of ordering from the same places which was getting hard to pick something that sounded good. I called up to find out the hours they deliver. The girl that answered the phone was very friendly. My Husband and I went through the menu. It is a big menu with a lot of choices. When the food arrived, you could smell that you were getting something different. I had chicken souvlaki. My Husband picked two cheeseburgers and we ordered stuffed grape leaves , onion rings and a piece of carrot cake. We took our time eating. Everything was delicious! It was all fresh and nicely presented! So very delicious! 2 days later we had chicken kabobs dinner. A falafel and that great carrot cake. My Husband absolutely loved the chicken kabob dinner with yellow rice. His plate was completely full including salad, olives, feta cheese. The pita bread was also included. The white sauce that comes with it( I cannot spell it properly) was fresh and had alot in it. We are very impressed! It is worth every penny. Order from Teddy's Place. Horrible food. Uncooked chewy chicken and lamb. Got it on Friday and I've been sick for two days. Called in Friday for mix gyro platter, lady told me it will take 15 minutes to make. I said never mind coz I had to get back to work. 3 minutes later I realized that I could wait for 15 minutes so I called back and placed the order. Walked in store 5 minutes after placing order and it was surprisingly ready and packed. It definitely didn't take no 15 minutes to make. I called the store back to complain about my horrible experience and lady told me to come back for free replacement and I agreed to come back on Monday but before getting sick. After I got sick and experienced pain I would never go back to this place even if they serve me free food for a year. Bad service, very bad food and expensive. Almost $19 for a chewy uncooked chicken and lamb that will make you sick. I don't write reviews but this one I had to, to prevent others from getting sick and experience pain.
