Beaufort Cafe — Restaurant in Beaufort

DO NOT GO HERE. Im not one to leave reviews but this is the WORST experience i’ve ever had in a restaurant. We walked in and were not greeted for atleast 10 minutes, just awkwardly stood at the door someone walked past and said “you can sit there” then our drink order wasn’t taken for another 10-15 minutes. The waitress was extremely rude, never told us her name or anything. We were ready to order by this point and she said “i got a table ahead of you so i can’t take your order yet” and then didn’t come back with our drinks for awhile. She FINALLY came back to take our order and rushed us through it so quick i could barely even think. 20 minutes into waiting for our food, they came up to us and asked us to MOVE so that they could seat other people at the table we had been sitting at, the people waiting looked at us very apologetically and seemed shocked by what they were doing also. We moved, and as they sat these people the guests said sorry and thanked us for moving. We continued to wait almost an HOUR for our food and while waiting the people sitting close to us, got up and left because they had also been waiting so long. When the food came, i took a bite and quickly noticed my food was wrong, and had onions on it which i’m ALLERGIC to and had specifically said no onions to our waitress. It took about 15 minutes of waiting for someone to come back and then i finally stopped the other waitress. Our waitress came over and said “what’d i do wrong”, they were going to make another one and i refused, we couldn’t be there another hour waiting on food that wasn’t even good. Wow. If I could give negative stars, I would. When we walked in, we were not greeted. After about 2 minutes of waiting beside another couple, someone walked up and said “who was here first?” They didn’t even pay attention to who was walking in. The other couple was seated and one of the waitresses hardly wiped off another table and seated us. There was food remains left on the table and in my chair, which I sat in. Nice. No one knew we had been seated. We waited a few minutes with no menus and someone finally came up and said, “have you been helped yet?” NO. We ordered as soon as we could and the waitress who took our order was not friendly in the least. We had to wait way too long for our food. When it finally arrived, we realized we were never given silverware. We waited and waited for someone to walk by to give us silverware but after a few minutes we had to walk up front to get it ourselves. Meanwhile, the couple who was seated before us never got their food. We were finished with ours and they became so frustrated that they just walked out. I don’t blame them one bit. I hope that this was just an off day. The cafe is not that big. They should have been able to handle the number of tables that are in there and should always make their customers feel appreciated. Worst experience i have ever had at afood establishment. Visiting from 4 hours away and wanted some good country cooking. Walked in the sister in law, nephew and my daughter(whos still in a carseat) was not greeting at all by multiple waitresses passing us. Finally got a table for 4 got our drinks fast then was asked to move to a very small round table for two right by the door, had to sqeeze my daughet in her carseat into a corner because they had another party of 4 come in and needed the table we were at... i guess these peoples comfort was mor important then ours. Not to mention im pregnant and starving so we order our food as soon as we finally get as settled as we can in this uncomfortable tiny table. Waited over an hour for our food was not checked on once by our waitress in that hour. Then we get the food, i ordered french toast and so did my nephew but he got the kids meal and i got a full meal, but they messed up and gave me a kids meal too but im glad they did cause i didnt want the extra after tasting the horrible french toast, sister inlaw got eggs and hashbrowns and said it tasted like oil, way to greasy.
