My 6yo son an I took a bike ride since we live locally are initial destination was Cru Cafe since you can eat the ice cream inside so it didnāt melt however they were closed So we tried Beaufort Creamery $5.25 for 1 small scoop of ice cream and thereās no space to eat inside So by the time we got down the stairs it had already started to melt & by the time we found the nearest bench (aside from the ones right by the public bathroom) to set down it had already melted and got all over him from walking to bench so he was sticky, the ice cream was melted, and by this time he was over it he didnāt even want it anymore an I canāt blame him who wants to eat melted ice cream! $5.25 is a ridiculous price for 1 scoop of ice cream that you canāt even enjoy inside and by the time you find seating outside itās melted I wonāt be returning there again at least not during summer the whole experience including the price...
Ā Ā Ā Read more1 star. We were so excited to try what is supposedly the top 10 places for ice cream per USA Today. Really hard to believe. First, you walk in, and has no vibe to it. Itās plain. The freezer for retail had 1 pint left. And the two girls working, as we walked in at 5:30 on a Saturday informed us that they only had 3 flavors left even though we saw full 3 gallon tubs unopened in the dipping case. Like what? We asked them about the unopened tubs and they advised us that those are for the next day. The were young kids, so unfortunately itās never expected for them to have any empathy, but the news was uncaringly delivered. So 1 star for service, 1 star for atmosphere, and definitely 1 star for food. This place doesnāt deserve to be viewed an any top 10 list because they donāt work hard enough. And by the way, they close at 10:00. 4.5 hours after we walked in. Booo! So for the next few hours...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited on 9/12/22- 1st thing you have to know it's very easy to pass by it as it's located in a bldg w/other places & no large sign. I parked down the street & we walked right by it (duh). Is handicap accessible, there's a wheel chair lift on left set of stairs. 2nd thing is the young man was VERY nice (as have been everyone we've encountered in the area š). 3rd- icecream was delicious!! When I mentioned to waitress at No Name Pizza (close by) that this was where we were going for dessert she remarked w/a smile "you'll enjoy it"- kinda tells me that this is a local favorite. 4th there is a small local park close by to the left of the Creamery an easy walk that has shade, benches & view of the docks where you can enjoy...
