We ate here because we were down in SC for my sons USMC graduation on July 30th.
The good first, Parking lot was clean and maintained and the staff was welcoming. Good was okay. Javon was an detailed and kind waiter.
Was greeted and out on the waiting list. We got there around 6:45. ( party of 7) we were told a 20min wait which we were fine with, after 45 minutes and other being seated before us that got there later, I went and asked what was going on. Our name was already armed off and the hostess said that she already seated us…no, we were still sitting there. She gave our table to a bigger group so they had to get a table together and seat us. There were three large groups that showed up and were seated. We were created by Javon who was our waiter and he was on point. He was kind, courteous a funny. Took our order and brought us some hush puppies while we waited. He brought our appetizers out in a timely manner but then we never saw him for a while. It had been an hour since we placed our order and we were debating on leaving but we were enjoying each other’s company and decided to wait a little bit longer because three parties did show up so they were busy. After and hour and half wait I went to find the manager. After waiting 5 minutes, Marshall came out and stated he was sorry for the wait and that they were short staffed and he was cooking. ( I’m assuming he pulled out waiter to help because we hadn’t seen him for a while) he said he would come to the table and tell me how much longer it would be. We waited at the table for 10 minutes before my husband went to find Marshall. It took him 10minutes for him to come out of the kitchen and then wanted to argue with him about what was going on. It took 2 1/2 hours to get our food and check. When we go the check it was 10minutes before closing and I asked Marshall if he expected us to pay all of the over $200 check and he said, “we’ll your received the food, what do you think I should take off.” I said, “if i have to tell the manager how to do his job, it wasn’t arguing about.” Horrible management and will not ever eat there again. Fell bad for the owner and having that kind of management. The staff was...
Read moreWe are from another state and were very excited to try something different. When we sat down, we tried to tell the waitress who was on our ticket so would be billed correctly since we had a huge party. The waitress stated she divided the tickets up at the end. Upon paying the bill, asked who got what and we paid right there at the table. She got toward the end and realized somethings got left off somebody’s ticket and needed cards reswiped. She didn’t have all the alcohol beverages or food recorded and when members of our party told her what was what, she didn’t add them to their ticket at the time. She messed up. Fair. Nobody is perfect. However we did try to rectify this when placing our order, and she wanted to do it at the end. It was a mess. On top of that, 20% gratuity was added to our bill. So that means 20% was being added to the items she left off original bill. Pointed out that was double dipping and she wanted to argue a little and act confused. There wasn’t anything confusing about it. Especially if she would have placed people on separate tickets from the beginning like we tried to. To top off this mess, this girl that brought the drinks from the bar was very rude. She was even caught talking about us asking her about food that wasn’t brought. (We asked her because our waitress had not been back in a while and she was first one for us to see and we had already asked our waitress twice and got no where). Then, we had to wait forever for her to come to pay the check. It was NOT crowded. AT ALL. Will never visit this place again when come through and will definitely not be recommending it to anyone coming this way. We had huge groups coming to the area but they will not be dining here. The soup was HORRIBLE. The kids chicken strips were dry. And the drinks made from the bar either didn’t have hardly any alcohol in it or had terrible mix of flavors. Other food was fair. Hush puppies were only thing...
Read moreWe have driven by Gilligan‘s every time we come to visit this areas an always say that one day we will stop in to eat there. Well today was the day. We first got out of the car an walked around the parking lot looking at the scenery an decided to take a picture at their sign. While we were out there the manager came out an asked if she could help an take the picture of our group so we could all be in it at once. She was super nice an went above an beyond to help take our picture. She also checked on us an all the other guests several times throughout our meal. Top notch customer service. Our waitress, Anysa (please forgive me if I’ve misspelled) was amazing. She continually checked on us without being overwhelming, gave helpful advice about menu items, kept our drinks refilled, remembered everything we asked for, and did everything in a timely manor. Excellent customer service as well. Now onto the food.. there were four of us an we all had amazing food! Hands down the best tasting hush puppies I’ve ever had. My husband said the fried shrimp were the best cooked an flavored he’s ever had. The fish was battered an fried perfectly. I could go on an on. Literally everything was delicious an super fresh. Oh an the mozzarella sticks. Just wow. Trust me an don’t skip out on those. The restaurant was clean and tables all freshly wiped down. The restrooms were clean well. All the staff was very nice an we didn’t have to wait long to be seated or for our food. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the theme of the restaurant an fish tanks, to the amazing staff, an especially the food! We will most definitely be back on our next trip. Thank you for an...
