This place was incredible. Best soul food you’ll find on the SC coast. Our family stopped in for Sunday lunch. Portions were gracious plenty. Everything was fresh and made to order. (Details below.) The staff made feel us feel at home and the the food tasted like the best of home cooking — made with a combination of love and culinary genius. Here’s what we had: The ribs were fall-off-the-bone-lick-your-finger-and-don’t-care-whose-watching good and the fried chicken was somehow perfectly crispy on the outside but juicy-like-grandma’s on the inside. We had the yellow rice, mac-and-cheese, lima beans cooked with ham bone, collards cooked with ham, potato salad, and cornbread and they were all spot on, hearty, simply delicious.
