I have to let people aware in case they might consider working there. And for those customers who are giving tips, you should probably reconsider. I used to be a customer here and met the owner of the restaurant ( Kent), so we often casually talked whenever I got some food to go there. The food was alright, I liked it cause it was nearby where I lived. Once, he said he needed someone to help, and he would pay $20 per hour under the table. I was like, that's not bad, plus tip ( which I was assuming but forgot to confirm ). He said he would pay cash at the end of each day (but he didn't). So I decided to give it a try. I came in at 10 am and worked there until 9 pm. on Sep 23rd, 2022. My first impression with him as my boss was not so good since he told me not to talk to the chefs in the back. "They like to gossip, so don't trust them." I found it so weird he said about his employees who have been working there for years. He continued, "If someone asks you, just say that you're my friend and here to help." That fact he let me know he was not an honest person. There was a waiter around my parents' age. He was a nice and helpful guy. I feel so bad for the old man. He had to work 15 hours a day, and only 1 day off, he had to do all the prepping, serving, and even cleaning up toilet, he said for only 3k per month. Of course, he did not receive any tip cause it was a fixed deal. And that' how I found out all the tip go to Kent's pocket. It was not right. No wonder I had seen so many waiters/ waitresses not last for long. So I nicely excused myself that I had to go training for a few weeks with my full-time job, and I would not be there anymore. Would see if he would pay me for a day of work. Surprised, surprised! He totally ignored me, so whatever I moved on. I did not really want to give negative feedback. The reason why I'm writing it today is cause I've just learned that the waiter quit for a while , and he also did not get paid for his last couple of work weeks. That made me upset. It was not right at all. It's exploited labor, and something needs to be filed a complaint to BOLI. I don't feel good about talking down on others' business, but at the same time, I hope there is no one who will be treated wrong at their workplace. Especially who are seniors, live paycheck to paycheck to support their families. Plz do the...
Read moreOne of the worst dining experience so far in Beaverton. I went in with my wife and was not greeted with any source of kindness just you sit here or there and here is the menu deal, he brought out our waters did say a word, then came back after a min to see what we wanted, I wanted to say how I wanted my order to be extra spicy he said what !! like he did not understand and said hot right. He rushed through the order process I did not have time to ask questions. My wife got her dish first with no utensils, and then I got my dish a few mins later rather then wait a few mins. We ate our food did not come by once to see if we needed water and I saw everyone else had a container of water in there table and we did not. I asked for a box he went straight to get it before I could say and a check. I had to go up to pay because that this point me and my wife felt unwanted. He looked annoyed for some reason because he was having lunch and had the other guy do it. Out of all my years of reviewing places this will be the first time I say this. But I felt like it was because we where brown people that's why he treated us badly. Dont go here people. The food was not good as well it was subpar. It was eatable but made worst by the service. I understand bad service but this was let's get out as fast as we...
Read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE ... good food. I recently took my brother to CT on a Friday night to have pho. We were seated at an empty table, and didn't receive water / see our waitress for another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the only other waitress in the restaurant came and took our order (we both ordered the pho). When our food came 25 minutes later, they brought us only 1 plate of veggies for the soup for us to share, and the plate was barely enough for 1 soup. I asked for a second plate for myself, and the waitress never came back. When we were done with our meal, and waited another 20 minutes, I finally went to the front counter to pay and leave. Our waitress greeted us at the counter and said "Hi, how may I help you?" She didn't even remember that we were her table - we could have walked out without paying and she would have never known (luckily I'm honest and would never do that). We were still required to pay full price even though I never received any veggies for my soup, our water glasses were never filled, and we never saw our waitress again. So, no tip for her, and my tip to you is AVOID THIS PLACE. The food is good, not amazing, but the service is horrible. It was my second and last visit to this place, as both times were similar with...
