🤢 GROSS!!! Over half an inch of oil!!! 🤮

Not only the WORST Indian I've ever had... Maybe the worst FOOD. Period. I've ever had. Except for some rotten broccoli I accidentally bit into once.

I couldn't get a good angle of measuring it in the picture... so I just dunked the ruler down into the curry so you could see just how MUCH oil there was! INSANE!!!

I've never seen food like this anywhere in my life. Not at Indian restaurants. Not at ANY restaurants. Like I don't understand how this gets served to a customer, after several people saw it and thought: "yup looks delicious! let's serve it!"

The chef saw it. And presumably the owner or whowever it was that packaged it up for me also saw it. And decided AMAZING SERVE IT!!

And if the owner or the server DIDN'T check it... what does it say about him that he has a chef back there that's cooking food so disgusting... I quite literally some of the most disgusting food I've ever seen in a restaurant... and the owner doesn't even know it's happening because he's not checking it.

Like either way... it's low standards they KNOW about to the point of being actually gross, or it's gross negligence and they don't know about it. How can you have a restaurant with like 3 customers and not notice this about an order????

so thanks for turning a regular customer into an angry hungry customer who's out $20 🤷‍♂️

I understand everyone makes mistakes. But this is the kind of mistake that means "We have no standards and if it makes you sick too bad, mistakes happen."

It's a much worse mistake than simply forgetting part of the order, which they've also done before. Not really that big of a deal to me if it doesn't happen very often.

But this... this...

Absolutely delicious food! The best Indian place we’ve found in Portland! They have lots of vegetarian options, and the lunch buffet is a great value. We especially love the paneer curry and the sweet rice dessert with cashews. Everything was delicious, and there is a rotating variety of different spice level dishes for both vegetarians and meat lovers at the buffet. We always leave here satisfied, and the service is great too. This is our favorite Indian buffet.

Awesome customer service, the guy who works here during the lunch buffet always takes the time to explain to my husband which dishes are vegetarian and which do and don’t have cinnamon since he’s allergic; I came here several times when I was pregnant and when we had our baby we came back and the guy immediately recognized us, congratulated us, and brought a high chair over for baby to use. He really goes the extra mile to make customers feel welcome...

So so so much better than Bollywood Bites! I'm seriously surprised by the low ratings...

My husband and I have ordered various dishes for takeout, and we have never been disappointed.

Goat Curry? Flavorful, lots of meat, not too greasy. Top 2 spots in Portland, imo - and I'm a goat Curry fiend! Paneer Tikka masala? They grill the paneer, so the texture is perfect. Butter chicken? Reliable, rich. Lamb byriani? Huge serving, spiced just right Lamb saag? Super flavorful and tender. Chennai chicken 65? So spicy, so good
