On a previous doctor's appointment in Beaverton, I stopped by Bed Bath & Beyond to get some pillow cases. The pillow cases, while nice Egyptian Cotton 620 thread count, they didn't fit my queen size pillows. So back to Beaverton for the return and stopped by Five Guys for a quick bite and keep an eye out for Bus 20 for my return trip to City of Roses. I ordered their grilled hotdog and small fries. Kudos to Five Guys for not charging for add-ons to their burgers and hotdogs. Added mustard, grilled onions and green peppers. The peppers were raw, so I picked them out. The hotdog was everything that Shake Shack's wasn't. Much better, served flat in the bun with tons of grilled onions, slathered with mustard. M'm, M'm good. Five Guys advertise their fries as "Famous", I thought they were more like McMenamins' greasy fries. Shake Shack's fries were more to my liking. One thing that caught my eye was complimentary in-the-shell roasted peanuts. I thought cool, until I saw a woman grab a handful instead of using the handy scoop and paper baskets next to the box of peanuts. Gross. Speaking of which, my table hadn't been wiped off after the previous customer. Service on a tray would be nice for indoor dining. Just saying. Grilled hotdogs must be a Beaverton thing, Portland should take nod from its western neighbor.

Was rejected upon setting foot in store at 6:15 pm. My family and I were hoping to get a burger before our movie and saw that 5 Guys closed at 8pm last night, Sunday, Oct 10th. Once we arrived we saw a sign on the door that said closing at 7pm due to staffing. Ok, no problem, it was about 6:15 so we had plenty of time. As we were walking in, our kids were excited and started talking about what they wanted to order and were then interupted by a woman yelling that 5 Guys was closed. We said we saw the sign that said they were closing at 7pm. Then she said they need to stop taking orders at 6pm. I had no idea it took an hour to make a burger. We didn't want to make a scene so we politely left, feeling rejected and confused. As we walked out we revisited the sign and then saw the hand written portion stating, last order at 6pm. We were a party of eight and starving so 5 Guys missed out on a sale that could have helped with labor cost of the employees sitting there at 6:15 waiting for 7pm to come around. Needles to say we went across the street to get a burger we haven't tried yet and it was delicious so we have a new burger place to frequently visit.

9 pm Friday 9/7 Eric took my order but did not ask for a name. They refused to give me my order w/o a name. Stalling and offering no option, I went to my returned w the receipt. Ungraciously and mute, the guy handed me a grease-soaked bag. It contained soggy limp french fries and a disasterous hamburger in a wet bun that turned into glue and fell apart in my hands onto my car seat. Grease went everywhere. Next day I returned to speak to a manager. A woman w/ broken English said the manager was out for 20 minutes, then 45 minutes, then maybe he would not return at all. I waited over 1/2 hour. The 2 employees wouldn't speak to me. No manager. No compensation.

Having tried many burger spots specifically one across the street who I was a fan of since they opened in New York and where I ate numerous times. I came back to 5 Guys because their burgers are just better. Juicer patties, more tasty and everything in between. I am writing this review to commend the service we received recently on a Sunday. The restaurant was relatively slow I came in with my whole family of 5. We ordered at the counter, got our food in a timely manner and enjoyed the tasty food that even our kids prefer over Shake Shack next door. Anyhow my oldest got a soda this time, rare occasion. The only other person in the restaurant at that time was and employee who clearly had just finished her shift and was getting picked up by a family member. Sure enough in true kid fashion my daughter knocked over her full sized cup of soda and it exploded on the floor. I kept my cool while someone else in the restaurant jumped up into acton to help resolve the situation. It was Abigail, the off duty employee, that could have easily left as she was done for the day. Mind you the other employees behind the counter just stood there and stared. Abigail, took off her backpack and jacket, as she was about to leave, and went to the back to grab a towel and bucket to help clean up the mess. My whole family was grateful for the initiative and for the help. My daughter apologized and Abigail was so sweet and kind and said not problem at all, I am happy to help I wipe up spills all the time. Long story short its employees like these that make the difference, they are on the front lines representing your company. And when someone like Abigail goes the extra mile and shows care even when she is off the clock is a testament to someone who has integrity and gives the gift of care and attentiveness not because shes getting paid to do it, in this case not paid as she clocked out, but because she loves what she does. PLEASE GIVE...

Update (03/30/2017): I don't know why I keep coming to this place. I went back to this location two days ago and it took them 19 minutes (yes, I timed it) to get my order out. The placed was dirty as usually with trash bins being overfilled and the floor being littered with peanut shells and fries. The restroom had a used teaspoon thing with black ooze dripping from it (drug usage I'm assuming?). God, this place is really terrible and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY VISITING HERE. GO TO 185TH FIVE GUYS INSTEAD!

I've been to this location about five or six times so far in the past few months. And I have to sadly give this place a 1-star. Why? Their food does not meet the standards of a Five Guys restaurant. The hamburger that I usually get doesn't match my order and their fries are so freaking crunchy. The fries at this location are extremely hard and not worthy to be called a Five Guys standard fries. They do not melt in my mouth and oh, they barely give you any extra fries in your bag! Their crew members acts unprofessional. When I went to this place one time, I saw people inside of the kitchen laughing and screaming out a person's order number because they wouldn't come up. The place is always dirty. The floor are filled with a thousand peanut shells and the restroom always has a freaking orange cone every time I enter. Overall, I don't really like this Five Guys location. I've been to three different locations in Oregon and this one is probably...

I am a door Dash driver we needed to pick up an order from this store, my daughter and my grandson were with me because we had already been dashing most of the day. I was simply trying to get my grandson some french fries and they told me that DoorDash has a contract that says Dashers are not allowed to order their own personal meals while they’re on the clock! I asked to speak with a manager and a general manager named Carmen came out to talk to me about it. She was very loud very rude and told me I was not allowed to order some thing to eat per door dash has policies! Because she threatened to call DoorDash and have me fired!! As a Dasher I called DoorDash to see what the policy actually was when I talked to DoorDash they said we can order any food we want from any restaurant when we are out, it is not a problem and I will not be fired for that! I then called the aggressive rude unprofessional general manager Carmen back on the phone to explain to her DoorDashs policy and she proceeded to tell me it wasn’t DoorDashs policy it was five guys policy she continue to yelled into the phone would not let me speak that was where the conversation ended here. I feel for everyone who is trying to make the business money and the owner should know how many people are being turned away due to his staff! I will refuse any order I get from them in...
