I have done nothing but support this business and recommend it to friends and family, which is why I was so taken aback by the immature attitude shown to me today.
Three out of the four people at our table ordered something from the menu (approximately +$40), while our youngest had purchased food from elsewhere. I completely understand the policy of not permitting outside food on the premises, and that's precisely why I made it a point to order an additional beverage for her to demonstrate that we weren't just randomly eating external food at their establishment. However, the moment we entered, I sensed a disapproving hawk-like gaze from the female owner. Sure enough, within minutes of our arrival, she approached us, gritting her teeth, to inform us that we were not allowed to bring in the kids' food, citing a supposed sign at the entrance (a sign I nor anyone else saw, apart from the store's operating hours). She attempted and failed to show leniency on this occasion, but her passive-aggressive approach left a bitter taste in our mouths. I'm not exaggerating when I say that no one at our table could enjoy their meal afterward. Her actions made us feel extremely unwelcomed. Trust me, I've worked all kinds of jobs, and I know that as an owner, outside food or entitled cutomers are annoying. But if I recognized they were paying and repeating customers, I would have been more warm or casual about the situation.
As I mentioned, if she had approached it differently, we could have easily brushed it off, and I would have assured her this was a one-time occurrence. But that was not the case. It was particularly disheartening and humiliating, considering that I was the one who suggested we dine there. I believe that, as a manager/owner, it is essential to possess the ability to handle customer situations with greater professionalism and sensitivity. Because it's not always the food that keeps customers; it's also about your...
Read moreThis is the best Thai food I've had in Oregon - probably anywhere in the US! Absolutely delicious, wonderful and well-balanced flavors. The portions are large enough that each dish is easily sharable or enough for leftovers - the value for the quality and quantity of the food is phenomenal. Recommending to all our friends and co-workers, and looking forward to going back SOON (again!)! Wife and I have tried gone twice already, and and loved: the Khamdee More Fire (neat hotpot dish!), the Tom Yum Nam-Khon soup (delightfully sour!), the Khao-Soi-Nuea (phenomenal savory, umami soup and excellent crunchy and non-crunchy noodles, definitely a favorite!) and the Woon-Sen-Phad-Thai-Goong (neat version of Pad Thai!). And the fried banana with coconut ice cream for dessert - nicely done, of course.
The staff is delightful - the restaurant is completely family owned, family run, family staffed, family recipes. Staff is all kind, attentive, and genuine. Also, seems like a minor thing, but I think it speaks volumes to the attention to detail and care -- the menu is beautiful. Most dishes have professional-grade photos included and great descriptions; the hardest part is picking just one (or two!) things to try!
Note: they do spiciness according to the "Thai" scale, so if spicy food isn't your thing, get mild or not-at-all spicy. The menu very clearly indicates which ones are on the hotter side vs which can be dialed way down. I love the "Medium" here, but would hesitate to go much hotter (for reference, at Buffalo Wild Wings I love the Desert Heat and Caribbean Jerk heat levels, but Mango Habanero is...

Come hungry because you will leave full, satisfied, and a little extra for later.
The spicy crispy chicken was very flavorful with some decent heat when I asked for mild. I could have done the medium but they only give you a range of 1-3 and they like the spice in their life so I played it safe. I had a bite off my friends soup but unfortunately don’t remember the name however it was so creamy with spices I couldn’t figure out but really complimented the entire dish.
Papaya salad was very bright and savory. I’m picky about tomatoes and they went perfectly with this salad I had to make sure they were in every bite.
The lime Thai tea was super refreshing and exactly what I needed after the hot weekend. My friend had the Thai iced tea and said it was the best she has ever had.
Service was very attentive and who I believe was the owner (or affiliated with ownership) was so sweet and kind. Her smile really lit up the room and made you feel welcome. You could tell she was as passionate about the food and wanted to share it with us.
This isn’t going to be your average Thai spot with just the basics. They use recipes passed down straight from the source. As a girly who drove down from Bend for the long weekend I plan on coming back just so I can try as much as I can...
