FWIW: Most of their products cater to dogs and cats. I’ve had generally pleasant experiences with their staff and they always seem to have a genuine care for animals.

If Petco is Walmart, and PetsMart is Target then I’d say MudBay is Whole Foods for pets (not a direct comparison but you get the point).

Although they may not have the vast selection that you’d normally find in one of the aforementioned pet stores, the products they choose to carry are purposefully chosen.

The majority of their products are local, high-quality, transparent and effective.

It’s evident they care about what goes in, on or around your pets as much as you do as an owner.

If you’ve never been in, I’d definitely give it a try AT LEAST ONCE especially if you’re looking to transition to a better quality food option (they have a pretty great selection).

Overall, I’ve been shopping here for over 2 years and I’ve never gone back to a big chain pet...

Always love the choices at this store for your pet. Customer service is typically consistently good any time of the day. Employees know their products and carry a fair to medium knowledge of cats and dog's diets and other needs which is a bonus. UPDATE: went to go into store this am. Was stopped by yelling employee Liz, at front door. "Stop, not open short staffed. Open 30 minutes". This is the best Mud Bay location we have ever been to. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful. Josie helped us to find a new dog food for our frenchie. She was knowledgeable about every brand of food and told us the benefits of having a freeze dried or frozen food for our pup. She also helped us with flea remedies since it’s that time of year. We got plenty of samples to try out, which always helps to actually see what works for our pup. We actually live closer to the Hillsboro location but had such a great experience at this location that we will keep coming back to this store for our future purchases!
