A delivery order is what motivated this review, but I've seen the location as well.
The food arrived hot, which is always a great sign. The broths are fantastic deals and honestly kind of the gem here. They are great, nourishing, and priced fairly ($4 per 16oz). Really well rounded flavor profile and richness without being oily/greasy. Good job here. The non-liquid food quality is okay depending on what you get. All of the Grill menu options are an egregious rip off - you get a single strip of very gristly 1-1.5oz meat that about a third of which is too rough to chew, a giant pile of rice (which is decently well made), and some chopped romaine lettuce with a scoop of marinated shredded carrots and radish (for it to be pickled, it needs to actually take the time to ferment). For $17, this is highway robbery. For $12 this is still extreme but at least understandable considering having entrees priced lower eats into your ability to pay bills and employees. 3.5. The fried products are really mushy and nondescript inside. I know that's common, but it's also not very exciting to me. Establishment and staff are typical big box quick service franchise marketed towards an upscale suburban audience. Nothing to write home about, clean, etc etc.
Great flavor, solid execution of most items, but it's very lopsided whether you're getting your money's worth.
For 2 cups of broth and an entree it was $30+ delivered, and underwhelming. I think I'll only come back here for the broths. Those are great and I'd totally order a quart for $6.50 if they offered it. If your family makes something like 250k+ then this review is probably a non sequitur.
EDIT: the broths are now $9 instead of $4 for the same size. Dropped a star because of drastically reduced value of the star...

Not sure what was happening in this particular evening, but the staff seemed overwhelmed and out of sync. The service was not great. Took only 5 minutes or so to get seated, but it took at least 15 minutes till we could put in our order and at least 30 min more till the food came out. We almost walked out to go over to joy teriyaki or something. I ordered the lemongrass honey chicken with rice. Looking at the menu I was under the impression it came with some vegetables. It came with about 4 little slices of carrots, a similar amount of cabbage and what seemed to be a pickled ginger sauce which gave the vegetables a nice flavor, but they were gin in two easy bites. Not much lemongrass flavor in the chicken. Was just kind of vaguely sweet. Would not recommend it. Not bad, just not good. May as well have been teriyaki as the primary flavor was sugar. My wife got the bún thịt chả giò which was good (she shared a bite or two with me); more as expected.
The staff were aware that the service wasn’t going well without any complaints from us and they apologized for the wait and said thank you when we left so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. Again, maybe it was just a bad night in Beaverton .
We went to this location because we had previously had a very nice experience with the location on 82nd. We can definitely recommend the 82nd avenue SE Portland location. Very satisfying meal there. Clean place....
Read moreWARNING PEOPLE W/ALLERGIES: they do not follow ALLERY REQUESTS PROPERLY. ALLERGY FOOD SAFETY ISSUES. They will just pick off the ALLERY rather than replace. I love this place (yah, big disappointment) & have been coming for many years. However the last handful of times I've ordered out they have not followed order details for allergies. Despite reminding them 3 times on the phone, in person, and having them check the order before it goes out. No peanut for example was requested as has been many times before (normally placed on top in a scoop) they picked some off and replaced the top with fresh salad so I didn't know until a full bite was ingested. The next time it was Cucumber, same hidden underneath. I finally called and to my surprise the gal told me they picked the Cucumber off, I told her that's not how allergies work. She told me I was "picky" and didn't need to eat there any more...what? I spend more than 3k a year here. And I'm a kind person I could have been livid that I had my day ruined with the peanuts causing an allergic reaction the time before or Cucumber this time. (These are not the only times this has happened. Thinking now I bet this is why I had allergy symptoms some of the days I ate there. I assume I did something prior.) She did not take accountability, blamed me (I checked w/ her times!) I got a refund. However for those of you with allergies -they DO NOT UNDERSTAND FOOD SAFETY AT ALL! BE VERY CAREFUL!!! I think they've lost a...
