I really wanted to leave this place 5 stars, but there were a couple of things that just really rubbed me the wrong way. We ordered the number 4 combo with the dungeness crab. The crawfish, shrimp, clams, sausage, corn, and potatoes were amazing. We got the Louisiana flavor, and it was seasoned so well. If it wasn't for the crab, it would have been the best seafood boil experience I've ever had (And I've had a lot). However, the crab was awful and I was very disappointed. I came here for my birthday specifically because I wanted dungeness crab. It was also my friend's first time trying it, which I was very excited for. But when we went to crack it open, it was basically empty. We were all very confused. There was virtually nothing in the claws, it was almost completely hallow, and the little meat that was in the almost hallow legs was inedibly gritty, which I've never experienced from crab before. The only piece of the meat that was edible was the cluster. This crab was $40. I was thinking about complaining but by time a server came around we had already finished the rest of the boil and they were handing us the bill. I thought the severs were very nice, but we only received service once after we received our food for a single refill. But mostly I was very disappointed because I did not get my birthday crab I wanted, and worse, my girlfriend wasted $40 on a crab husk. They also forgot to bring my birthday ice cream, which isn't a big deal, but did kind of add to the disappointment. If the crab would have just had crab in it, I would have given this place a resounding 5 stars, even with the service gaps. It was otherwise a delicious and fun experience. However, I do not recommend coming to Bucket O Crab...
Read moreIt’s my first time trying Bag O’ Crab, and it’s GREAT! We ordered Combo#2 and another pound of mussels with ‘Atomic Sauce’ seasoning (highly recommend this one!). The seafood is very fresh, and the sauce is super flavorful. They provided enough sauce in your meal to ensure every ingredient was fully covered in the sauce, and we still had plenty left after we finished all the seafood.
I also recommend their Cajun Wings - very tender and juicy, definitely one of the best chicken wings I’ve ever had so far. And it’s served hot and crispy, indicating they made it right after you ordered it (freshness is everything!). Their Garlic Noodles are tasteful, too. I feel these two can be our top choices when it comes to late night foods :p
The service and vibe here are also very nice - staffs are very friendly and well-trained, and the environment is bright and cozy.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience here, and I’ll definitely come back again next time and explore other items on the menu. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!
(Oh, one quick note: the spiciness here is slightly spicier than you would expect. Thus, if you’re not really used to spicy foods, I would recommend trying...
Read moreWe went in on a Saturday, it wasn’t crazy in there. The hostess was nice and seated us quickly. Our server daisy could have definitely worked on some things. When taking our order she looked frustrated when we asked about the seasonings. I’ve been in the industry as a server myself, I know repetitive “dumb” questions are heard by us everyday but we can still answer them in a nice way. We also ordered a combo to go and specifically said “ Can we order it now so it’s ready by the time we leave”. She didn’t do that and put in the order until we were cashing out. We ordered three sodas and received 4. After we let her know about the extra one,the other soda still appeared on the check. Funny incident I can’t even blame her, when she came to refill our waters she refilled a cup of Sprite with water. We couldn’t even be mad that was an honest mistake. I work in a much busier restaurant so I understand this industry, but one thing that should be prevalent in every establishment to keep a good clientele, is the ability to be kind. I hope she sees this and takes it as constructive criticism. The food is great but the service...
