Tucked in a pizzeria cafeteria-ish place near some new apartments, Loro has a personality of its own. The coffee, though slim and generic selections to choose from on the menue - with the exception of their seasonal flavors - is bold and smooth, perfect any coffee lover. The drip coffee wasn’t burnt- like most places are- which tells me it’s fresh. It also wasn’t super bitter or tart, it was on the mellow, woody side and didn’t give me heartburn like rose city or insomnia. The cold brew I got with vanilla syrup, was so creamy and smooth that it tasted like I was drinking a vanilla shake. Definitely the kind of drinks you drink so quickly that you’re sad when you realize it’s all gone. The barista was super kind and knowledgeable about what tasted good on the menu, too, offering good suggestions and recommendations. They have their own nook inside as well, with a partition to separate the cafe from the pizzeria.

A cute and comfortable place, It’s combined with a pizza shop so both places use the same seating area, etc. Spacious and has high ceilings. Pretty good tables to study on, seats are decent padded. The Loro side however has comically small tables, so i don’t think studying there will be good. Most people study on the tables meant for the pizza place, but you are allowed to study anywhere since the place is shared. Good prices, good bathroom, and good lighting. Noise level is medium to low. Not too busy when i came (wednesday afternoon). Wish there were more outlets though. Overall, it’s a surprisingly nice and comfortable place to study or read or talk. The hours listed are just for the coffee side, but the pizza place stays open and by extension the whole seating area.

This is a welcome addition to the Beaverton coffee scene, with several offerings from both Proud Mary & Push X Pull on drip, espresso, and in bags when we visited. The PxP coffee on drip (a honey-processed Nicaraguan microlot from Finca los Mercedes) was not bad but not memorable. The single origin espresso on the other hand (a natural processed Costa Rican coffee, Los Tonos) was pleasantly surprising - well balanced, great texture, and very enjoyable (I picked up clear notes of banana without it being too funky or a flaw/defect). The kouign amann & other baked goods were delicious and vibes/aesthetic are impeccable. Barista was great to talk to and pointed me to a bag of a natural processed Ethiopia (12 days off roast) which I'm looking forward to trying very soon!

The coffee was good albeit quite sweet and wasnt mixed to a homogeneous solution. I ordered the classic mocha and my partner ordered a mocha with a caramel syrup pump, although no stirring stick was provided to mix in the syrup to the drink. There is no parking lot or apperant spot to park, while normally this would lower my review I believe this shop is intended for the residents of a nearby apartment complex. Its in the same lobby as a pizza shop called RANCH, makes it very spacious but all the tables have RANCH napkins leaving me wondering if I should sit at them even though I only have coffee.

The service by the baristas was great, they werr friendly patient and prepared! They dont take your name or do name call though so you gotta watch for your coffee being done.

All in all 7/10, wouldnt hunt it out again but if im in the area its a nice spot(good...
