Ki Coffee & Brunch — Restaurant in Beaverton

Went into get breakfast before an appointment with a friend. When we got there it wasn’t busy at all, which surprised us because it was a Saturday, we went straight to the register where the young guy who was standing there did just that. No greeting or smile, nothing friendly about this guy. He just looked around while we figured out what we wanted. We ended up removing ourselves from the register because it started to get awkward. When we were ready to order no one was in back of us and he was still not friendly but we ordered. We found a nice place to sit and we waited. The coffee came out first which was okay. Then my friends food came and she tried to wait for mine to get there but I ended up telling her to eat so it wouldn’t get cold. Halfway through a staff memeber came to take our numbers off the table and we asked about my sandwich, she said she would look into it. My friend finished her food and we were basically done with the coffee and I had to go up and ask about my sandwich (mind you, when we went in it wasn’t busy at all but by this time there was a line) when I asked about it the same woman who told me she would look into it told me mine would be made after the one that was being made.. no sorry, or even a tone of apology. Who I think is the owner heard the entire conversation and just side eyed me as if I was the problem. A few minutes after my sandwich came and it was good but should have been made after my friends since we ordered together and wasnt worth the terrible service. I’m not one to write reviews usually and I don’t think I’m hard to please but I found it interesting how my food couldn’t be made when no one was there but was made when they had a few people in line. A simple apology would have been fine with me actually just friendly people would have prevented me from writing this but I didn’t get a hint of that. Before going to this place I looked it up and their Instagram seemed like they were a big work family and enjoyed there time there so I was really taken back how they all looked miserable and not one friendly person spoke to either of us like a paying customer who they appreciated coming to their establishment instead of the many other coffee shops around which I can guarantee has better service. I don't normally write reviews because I haven't had any issues with the pick-up orders until today, I was genuinely disappointed.

I scheduled a pick-up order for 9:20am the night before for two bagel sandwiches and two coffee lattes. I've ordered similarly before and have had no problem, sometimes they're early as well. But today, I was there at 9:20 with nothing seen on the pick-up order table, saw other orders eventually for 9:20 and 9:30. I received the text, although I don't know how automated the text is, saying that my order is ready at 9:33, but there was nothing there.

I can understand the morning rush on a Saturday for a breakfast restaurant as it was quite busy, but I saw people ordering food and drinks and leaving before I got anything.

I was there until 9:45 and they still did not have my order. I waited in line to ask about my order and the order receipt was right there and the worker at the register told me it was almost done. However, this was far too late. I left and came back around 10 and my order was eventually there.

I don't mind waiting a bit, but please don't use the square SMS reply if my order is not ready. Although my order might have been longer than the others, I don't think it's reasonable to be that late compared to the...

Overall experience was ok! We came at about 1 on a Monday, so not busy at all. This was our first time coming to Ki Coffee.

First thing we noticed was how cramped the space was because of other items for sale, a little cluttered, not a big deal.

Staff was friendly!

Overall it felt like the food was slightly over priced, my avocado toast (no meat) was $11... I thought for that price I would get two slices of toast. Was very yummy though! Ingredients were good quality.

We do recommend the ube latte, pretty good! And the bagel sandwich was tasty as well, just on the smaller side.

We do not recommend the lavender matcha latte - absolutely 0 lavender flavor, and the matcha latte itself was kinda meh.

The place was also kinda dirty, half the tables were not wiped down, and when we left, the bus station was absolutely FILLED with dirty dishes and trash. There really wasn't anywhere to put our used dishes, we had to kinda carefully tetris it.

We were here for about 30 minutes overall and the place was not busy, and i never saw anyone come thru with a rag and spray or a broom... It was also slightly smoky in there. Not sure what that's about.
