TLDR: decent pizza, amazing ranch, but overall does NOT live up to the hype or the price tag.

Finally made it in for a much-anticipated first visit after seeing a lot of hype. A+ for atmosphere, and a whole sheet of gold stars for the playlist. We were aiming for a quick lunch stop, and since the place wasn't even half full, we thought we had lucked out. Staff was friendly but the pizza took a lot longer than we anticipated, based on general pizza timing, and we had to rush through a couple slices then package it up and bounce. Pricing was a little on the high side but based on the buzz, we figured it was going to be worth it. Unfortunately, not so much. That's not to say the pizza isn't good, but pizza is also pretty hard to screw up, so good pizza can be found in many places. These are GREAT pizza prices, with AMAZING pizza hype...and it just didn't hit. We got a half and half with the #4 and the special, which was french onion dupe. The special sounded amazing, but was a flop, driven mostly by the tomato sauce overpowering everything else on it - not sure why the sauce needed to be there at all, to be honest. The #4 was tasty enough, but nothing to write home about. The dough was...fine, but when there's that much of it, a bit more flavor to the dough itself would be ideal, and it wasn't there. Excellent crispy edges, would eat again. The star of the show, ultimately, was the ranch dressing - that stuff was bomb, would definitely buy it...

Had a yelp alert that they had opened, decided to run by and see. Yes they were! The lady at the counter said it was a soft opening.

We ordered a half pepperoni and half Hawaiian, and a house salad. If you haven't been to the pdx locations, this is Detroit style pizza with a couple sides of ranch dressing to dip in. The pizza was phenomenal. I preferred the pepperoni- just because it tasted better to dip. The Hawaiian is unique and has a little heat as they add shaved jalapeños on it. (Not a lot, but they are noticeable. ) My wife loved the Hawaiian. The one thing different here from most of the Detroit Pizza places I've been, is they take the pizza out of the pan, slice it, and put it on a pizza pan. I prefer this actually, my wife prefers it in the pan.

The Radicchio house salad was unique. I really wanted a ceaser, but my wife wanted something different, so this salad has a vinaigrette. We both liked it- we thought maybe a few more Cucumber and tomatoes would be a little better. No complaints though.

Overall- great food, friendly staff. They were helpful all night, and the food came out...

Glad we tried it but won't be going back. Gave the food 2 stars and service 4 stars. The lady who handed me my take-out order was very nice. Pizza was very greasy on the bottom...I dont remember the last time I got so messy eating any meal. Ordered half pepperoni and half Hawaiian. Minimal cheese on these pizzas. And the Hawaiian half had literally no cheese. I went back to their website to double check their toppings and it is supposed to have cheese. Ended up scraping the Hawaiian toppings onto the pepperoni side just to have a little cheese. Overall, this is clearly a fast food-level, deep dish, square pizza place. This was the first time I can remember ever throwing pizza away. Glad we tried it but after dropping $40 (incl tip) on this place, I'd rather go to one of the higher quality...

Tonight I ordered a pepperoni / Hawaiian. I heard about this place from a food influencer I follow on Instagram named ggfoodie. I came here on a whim after seeing that video today. This place is AMAZING. I had no idea this awesome place was so close to home. The ranch had a strong dill taste to it which I LOVED. The bread sticks were perfectly garlicky. The pepperoni on the pizza was crunchy which is my favorite. The combination of the crunch or the pepperoni and the fluffiness of the dough was the perfect flavor harmony. The sauce was sweet but had a little zing to it. The Hawaiian side was the same way. I will definitely be back again.

Update: the crust is a little hard. If you're wearing braces, you may want to be careful with the crust because one of my brackets broke off. My sister told me about their most recent opening in Beaverton so I decided to go with my friend. I was not disappointed. We ended up getting #4 whole pie - BVR: aged mozarella, red sauce, sausage, ricotta, calabrian chilies, pecorino romano, basil. We finished the pizza in one go between the two of us, so if you put your mind to it you can too. Clean restrooms. Quiet place to eat. No TVs though. Parking can be difficult since it's under the apartment Verso.

Ordered first pizza two months ago. Loved it! Ordered 2nd pizza today online like first go around. Showed up on time... 1) I didn't open the pizza box because 1st pizza was awesome. 2) The pizza was burnt around the top edges, 80% and bottom 50%. The employee/owner handed me the pizza and didn't say it was burnt, overcooked, torched... Who likes burned pizza? BTW, it's not rhetorical. Called Ranch Pizza and let them know. Didn't really care. I can always give benefit of the doubt for my 2nd rodeo at Ranch Pizza something was happening or whatever. Let me know.
