Pokey O's Cookies & Ice Cream - Mid-Cities — Restaurant in Bedford

As, my daughter and I drove to Cici's pizza, we noticed the Pokey O's, and we both agreed to stop there after eating pizza. Just as we said we finished eating and went straight to Pokey O's, first let me begin by saying that this establishment is neat in appearance, clean and well organized. We were promptly greeted by Ms. Lin, cashier/server and Mr. Melvin, cashier/server. In this cute place they serve a variety of cookies, blue belle ice cream and variety of boba teas. Since I forgot to take pictures of the outside of this establishment I decided to go and take a picture. A gentleman by the name Sean/Shawn, not sure of the spelling of his name asked why I was taking pictures. I told him it was for my Google/Yelp/Trip Advisor reviews. He informed me that he was purchasing this establishment. My daughter purchased the bubble milk tea, which she really liked very much and we also purchased some of their yummy cookies, 2 each snicker doodle cookies, white chocolate macadamia cookies and peanut butter cookies, which brought out childhood memories for me. The cookies were all very tasty and go very well with coffee. If you're looking for a place to relax enjoy some tea, ice cream or cookies this is the place to come to. This would be 4 stars but I’ll give them grace. We attended their grand opening and it was packed. The staff was giving out coupons for a free soft serve or cookie. When we got to the counter, my daughter ordered an ice cream in a cup. As we went to pay, I noticed she still had her ticket for her soft serve. So I got the attention of the older lady with orange hair behind the counter and told her that my daughter forgot to get her soft serve. Her response to me was, “that’s not what she asked for”. I was a little taken back because that was a very rude response and I was not rude at all in the way I asked. I clarified with her that she has a ticket for the free soft serve and forgot to ask for it. She told someone else behind the counter and they got it for her. Besides that, everything was very nice, everyone else was super friendly. I understand they were busy so the lady may have been a little flustered. Pokey O’s is such a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!

I absolutely love the walk-up ice cream counter experience. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the ice cream cookie combo was beyond delicious. What I appreciated most was the variety—whether you’re craving boba, shaved ice, or other treats, there’s something for everyone. The decor is so fun too, with plenty of spots for great photos.

Overall, it’s a fun spot to visit, and I can’t wait to see their trailer out at local parks or have them cater an event. With CiCi’s Pizza and MiniFigs LEGO and more nearby, it’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon!
