Seven Day Donut — Restaurant in Bedford

The customer service is great. The lady Is nice and the place is clean. However. I'm here to buy donuts. I've visited at least a couple dozen don't places in the past 2 years and this one ranks amongst the worst. The apple fritter.... is supposed to be uniformly cooked. Heavy, and jammy on top with cooked pieces of apple. This disaster had non of the above and looked burnt. I bought it anyway. It was unevenly cooked , dry and unpleasant. Very kind service here, but sadly the donuts were hit or miss. When I visit new donut shops, i always get a glaze ring and chocolate log to set a baseline for each place. The glaze was good enough that my wife didn't share it, but the chocolate was really bad. It tasted like ash and the chocolate was worse than artificial tasting. Maybe it was just a bad batch or something, but still, I threw half away. I also bought a blueberry and that was excellent so I'm inclined to believe my bad batch theory. I went here on a whim, and it turned my morning around! The ham egg and cheese croissant was delicious, and I love old fashioned donuts. Let me tell you, that buttermilk old fashion donut was the best I've ever had. It was greasy and mushy, it was crispy and moist with sweet canyons of delicious icing on top. 100/10 would recommend.
