If I could give this place zero stars I would! I have never experienced a Sonic location with such poor customer service or food as this one! The people who take your order repeatedly scream that they can't hear you even when you scream your order at them three times after you've repeated it four or five times at a normal volume for ordering food through a speaker! Then, they get angry because they can't hear you, get rude with you and just end your order and hang up on you! They never came out to try to finish taking my order. So, I got out and walked in! The staff freaked out and what I thought was the manager rushed me out the door and asked how he could help. I told him what happened and what happens almost every time I go there with their trouble hearing me over the speaker. He was not apologetic or anything. He said I'll let my manager know. And asked me what else I wanted to order that the girl didn't get. I said a medium Dr. Pepper. He said okay and added it to my order and even charged me for it! So I returned to my car feeling a little more than bothered by the whole scene. This is not the first time I've had problems there. The food is just as bad as the customer service! They never have gotten my entire order correct once! And they don't cook things properly. Food will be burned, and once they didn't even toast the bread for our breakfast toasters which made the bread turn all soggy and it just didn't taste good at all! What else can I say? This place needs a total staff replacement. Except there's one guy named Matt that works there that took my complaint over the phone tonight and let me come back and replaced my iced coffee which was prepared incorrectly and gave me a free drink token and apologized profusely. After all the times they've screwed up, he's the only one to ever actually apologize and try to make it right. I hope corporate gets wind of what's going on up there and makes some big changes soon cause this Sonic is a block from my house and makes for a quick place to run for food or stop on...
Read moreSonic in general is my lifeline as I am addicted to ice (my only beverage EVERYDAY). Therefore, I go at least every 3 days to get a bag of ice. However, today at the Bedford store on Central - I was there at least 20 mins informing the shift manager that there were no signs posted saying credit cards that swipe only NO CHIPS. Therefore, when my card wouldn't swipe, he came out to my car to take my bag of ice, my Wacky Pack meal (that i had already started eating) back unless I left my drivers license and went to get him cash. I told him to take my cc# & have his manager pay for my items when he was present because supposedly, the GM is the only one that can manually enter a cc# into the machine. He said no, and insisted that I was stealing. I tried to tell him that I do not steal & that I was trying to pay for my items (just as I do EVERY TIME) & it was not my fault that his boss does not give them the tools to take all forms of accepted payments. He again accused me of stealing & I explained to him that he could comp my bill tonight & have his manager re-ring It up tomorrow when I paid. He was threatening that he just needed my license plate # so I said I'd do him one better - I wrote my name, dob, phone #, & DL#. I tried to write my cc down but he said he could accept or take that. When I finally left - my food was cold, so did not get everything I ordered & my requested condiments were not in the bag. LOL Monumental waste of time & TERRIBLE customer service. All over 7.03 & I gave the the cargo a 2$ cash tip. RIDICULOUS!! Will only go back to get the food I ordered OR if the manager agrees. Will find...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. The manager had the worst attitude and customer service I’ve ever experienced. My order came out wrong, I got two chicken strips instead of a chicken wrap, and I let them know so they could correct it. I’m not mad about the mistake on my order, mistakes happen, we’re all human. But the manager came out and told me I should’ve given them the two chicken strips back because of something to do with their food costs. 1) I’m pretty sure that while Covid isn’t too serious anymore there’s still Covid protocols in place in a lot of restaurants and returning food in a fast food place isn’t sanitary. 2) the attitude the manager had when she was talking to me about this was unacceptable. Her tone was disrespectful and she was acting like I had done something wrong by giving the extra chicken strips to my children instead of giving them back to her so she could “throw them away.” The proper response from her in that situation would’ve simply been an “I’m sorry ma’am, have a good rest of your day” instead of treating me, the customer, like I had done something wrong when they got my order wrong. Their food cost is not the customers problem and two chicken strips isn’t going to ruin them. Plus if they were just going to waste them by throwing them away why not just give them to my kids to eat? At least food isn’t being wasted then. Point is, don’t be disrespectful to customers over your own mistake. Simply own it and fix the order and apologize...
