Bahama Buck's - Bee Cave — Restaurant in Bee Cave

Had a disappointing experience today as I waited nearly 40 minutes & still received the wrong sno cone after 3 attempts. I had ordered a half red raspberry, half wedding cake flat top sno. When they called my name, they handed me a rainbow unicorn sno with whipped cream. I asked if it was for me and he said yes and then I mentioned that I ordered raspberry/wedding cake. Once it was claimed by its rightful owner, I patiently waited longer and was finally served. I went to the car & I was caught very off guard to bite into sno covered in sour sand. Very sour & unexpected, I went back inside and said it was very sour & not what I ordered. When I stated I again wanted raspberry/wedding cake, the guy at the counter tried to inform me that the raspberry flavor is just supposed to be sour. I disagreed as this is my usual order & knew what went wrong. I clarified that I did not want sour patch redberry, but again, I simply wanted red raspberry. He finally understood that I was asking for raspberry (after about 3x) and went to make it. While it was being made, another guy came back up to ask me if I "still want the sour sand on top" to which I replied no and was surprised after that was the issue in the first place. When I was finally served, I thanked them and left. I appreciate their apologetic attitude and efforts in making reparations, I am very patient and have worked in this industry. However, I was just so frustrated to return to the car and discover I received wedding cake & cherry, not raspberry. It was disheartening to not get the one flavor I had asked for multiple times and to not be offered a refund or anything for the inconvenience. After discovering the cherry, I felt it wasn't worth it to go back in again & had already become late for work so I left and threw it away after a few bites. I had to give one star but if I was able to give 0, I would. I love snow cones, in fact, they are my favorite dessert. So, obviously, Bahama Bucks is usually my first choice for a sweet treat- not anymore. I walked in last night a good while before close, so it’s not like I walked in 5 minutes before they shut things down, I would understand a sloppy job if it was right before close but it wasn’t, which is where my disappointment stems from. Anyways, I ordered a simple peach cobbler snow cone and I specifically requested the cream topping to only be on top, and for just a light drizzle of it. I leave a tip and wait on my treat. What I am handed is a 3/4 of the way filled, baby sized slush. Alls good, a little extra syrup never hurt anyone. But here’s the kicker, 2 of the 3 quarters of the snow cone was cream. That means I paid almost 7 dollars plus a tip for a cup of cream with a drizzle of slush. I’m not one to complain but playing with my money like that is not funny and has really shifted my view on this establishment. I feel like the employees don’t really care about the quality or quantity of the product I’m paying for which is why I will no longer be visiting this place. My husband, myself and our two kiddos went to this Bahama Bucks while we were out celebrating our youngest birthday. We were the only ones in the entire place and all ordered small snow cones. Our order took a total of about 15 minutes to make. The wait wasn’t the issue, it was when we received our snow cones only to realize we were basically given cups full of juice with a little bit of ice. There was sooo much flavoring it was pretty much like having melted slushees. Our youngest sons vanilla snow cone tasted like someone poured an entire bottle of vanilla extract on a little bit of ice. There was so much liquid our cups were not just slowly dripping, but overflowing and pouring out of our cups onto our table. Our youngest son didn’t eat his at all and the other 3 of us only had a handful of bites and threw the rest away.
