I ordered a Mr Beast Box, the new avocado BLT Taco meal and a kids chicken tenders. Cost me 33$. Got home and my Beast Box had no chicken tenders. Called and spoke with the general manager and she gave me 3 choices. I could drive 15 minutes back there and get 6 tenders( 2 more than the Beast Box). They could write my name down and give me the 4 missing tenders on a different meal or I could return all the food and drinks I got for a full refund. After telling her that none of these options were good for me she said that she could refund the cost of the Beast Box but that there was a risk that my card information would be stolen my someone at the store. She then explained they had a cook doing that recently and said that my refund would take up to 10 days and there was that risk. She said she would have to write my card number down on paper, then go to her ordering machines to process the refund. I have worked bottom of the barrel retail/customer service for 8 years and 4 different places and never have I ever told a customer something as ridiculous as what she said about my information possibly being stolen. This is terrible customer service that should result in disciplinary action as that is what would happen to me if I, as a manager, said something as ridiculous as this. I will not be going back to this Zaxbys unless there is a new change...
Read moreI love Zaxby’s. Why? Because Zaxby’s really knows how to do chicken right. The chicken is cooked perfectly every time. It’s moist, delicious, and different than KFC in a good way. They use less herbs and spices than KFC so it tastes pure. I only discovered Zaxby’s when I moved out east from back west (did I say that backwards? I’m so sorry) just 3 months ago when I moved from Nevada which I’m sad to say has no Zaxbys to Florida which does. After trying the 2 diff ways to cook chicken that Zaxby’s offers, fried and grilled both of which are equally delicious, we quickly decided on the Grilled Chicken Cobb Zalad as our regular choice. It’s a healthy yet delicious option with lots of flavor and lots of crunch! Zaxby’s salad dressing options usually include ranch, honey mustard, bleu cheese, southwest ranch and vinaigrette. Zaxby’s Cobb salad is topped with topped with cucumbers, Roma tomatoes, Cheddar/Jack cheese, fried onions, bacon, a hard-boiled egg, a grilled chicken fillet or fried chicken fingers, everything cut up nicely and served with Texas toast. The fried chicken salad has 820 calories and 47 grams of fat, the grilled chicken salad has 700 calories and 35 grams of fat. If you cancel the Texas Toast, you can subtract 150 calories. The Salads are about ten...
Read moreI stopped by Zaxby's today for lunch and opted for the five-finger large meal, anticipating leftovers for later. However, I was a bit disappointed with the size of the chicken fingers; they seemed noticeably smaller than I remember from about a year ago, perhaps around 50% less. Given the price, it felt like I wasn’t getting as much bang for my buck.
I also checked the app for any specials, but I found none available, which was disappointing. I'm used to finding great deals on other competitors' apps, and it seems Zaxby's doesn't currently offer any specials, which is a missed opportunity in my opinion.
On a positive note, the fries were quite good and had a generous amount of seasoning, adding some nice flavor. Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy the coleslaw because I wasn't given a fork or spoon. This is particularly strange for a drive-through experience, as it’s essential to have something to eat with when you’re on the go—whether you’re heading home, to work, or enjoying a meal at the park.
Overall, while the meal was decent, I hope Zaxby’s considers adding some specials to their app and re-evaluates portion sizes for better value. When spending around $15, customers should feel they're getting their money's worth. I'd love to see improvements...
