SO BAD. Parked at the curbside pick up area 10 min after the estimated order completion time, just in case they were busy. No one came out after I waited outside for a few minutes so I parked there and decided to call in but nobody picked up the phone. I went into the store and stated my name and that I was here to pick up an order, the guy looked at me and didn’t reply...!! I tried again, louder this time, still no reply. It was awkward and I felt slightly embarrassed since it felt like I was talking to no one (there were two other customers watching me) but I then considered the possibility of him having hearing difficulties. I walked further into the store and found a woman working in the back and she said “oh if you’re here to pick up an order go to the front!”.

I walked back to the front but the guy was busy now helping out another customer (obviously no hearing difficulties)! I was super confused and waited patiently until it was my turn and asked for my order for the THIRD time. This time the lady from the back (who probably heard my repeated requests) came forward and, sounding annoyed, asked for my last name and finally grabbed the bag for me! I thought I was the one who should be annoyed but I was just in disbelief that that had been my pick-up experience. As I was leaving, I heard the other customers (who were here before me) asking for their pick up orders from the lady as well. It was so sad to see, they were here to pick up orders as well but didn’t know who would help them...
Brought the takeout back for my parents, hoping to give them a nice meal. Mac and cheese was creamy, but lukewarm. Salad was moist and crunchy but the croutons were either super hard or moist and mushy, it was weird!! So we decided to avoid them. As I am a Panera Rewards user and go to the Puyallup and Lakewood location at least once a month I feel that I have a good understanding how the process works. I entered the store placed my order to go had a few questions on the flatbread sandwiches whole versus half, ordered the squash soup as well as to cookies and two Iced Teas to go. I filled up my Iced Teas and had my cookies and hand so I sat to wait where I could watch the board as to when my order was ready for pickup after sitting approximately 15 minutes I asked one of the staff how I knew when my order was ready as I did not receive a beeper and my name had not appeared on the reader board. She said that board was only for phone orders and that I would have to check at the take-out desk. She then went and retrieved my order for me. As I ordered the everything cookies I was not able to use my 99 cent Bakery item, my squash soup was not full nor did it have the pumpkin seeds on top, and the flatbread sandwich was basically flatbread with turkey a tiny maybe half tablespoon of cranberry sauce and some lettuce it was probably the worst meal I have ever had at a Panera and the price for all of this was close to $32. Read moreThis is regarding my recent experience at the Panera at Factoria Mall, Bellevue, WA. I enrolled in Unlimited Sip Club during Covid, it is a perfect place for me to grab a cup of coffee in the morning. It became my daily routine now, but most of the time, I order coffee only.
At first, I mobile order the coffee then wait curbside. But Panera changes policy, you at least need $5 purchase for curbside pickup. It makes no sense to ask the crew bring a coffee out of store for a free order. I understand it.
Since making a coffee is super simple and I'm not ordering anything else, this Cafe requires customer self-serving coffee if nothing else ordered. It's just a coffee, customer can do it by themselves without wasting the crew's time. I understand it.
But recently, the manager asks them taking all the large coffee cups out of reach, so I have to wait in queue, ask for a large coffee cup even though I already mobile ordered. This is extremely inconvenient and waste everyone's time
I mean, if you don't want the customer taking the large cups by themselves, then don't ask them self-serving !!! Make a coffee for them
OR if you want customer to self-serve, make the large cups available to them. I mobile ordered because I want to save some time. Don't make this harder for anyone without any gaining.
Don't take off your pants and fart, it is totally unnecessary. Old Chinese saying.
But I want to say this review may change when they make a change based on this feedback because all the crews in this store are super good...
