It was 6:25 when my sister and I entered and there were 3 people behind the counter and two groups of people eating at tables. The girl Allysa (or Alecia) said Hi, be right with you after a minute of our waiting at the counter. It seemed the 3 behind were working on an order, but the people in-store already had their food and were eating. We waited and talked about what we were going to order, looking at the staff getting subs together. After about 5 minutes, another couple came in and waited behind us. I moved closer to the counter and the girl again said she would be right with us as she went into the back to get something. I assumed she would be with us as soon as she came back out. Nope – she went to make more subs. The couple behind us were getting impatient also and asked if we had already ordered. I informed them we had not but had been waiting a while to do so. At that point we were ready to leave but the girl again stated she would be right with us. I stated that I hoped so as we weren’t going to wait but another minute or two as we had been there since 6:25. We continued to wait and the couple stated they had never waited this long either. At 6:35 I asked the girls name and told her we would not be waiting any longer, put back the brownie and my sister put back the chips and we left. Went next door to Doc’s and were waited on immediately, then waited on our food while sitting at a table.
We discussed while we were standing there waiting in Firehouse, on the fact that we had NEVER waited more than a couple minutes and the fact that there were 3 people behind the counter; one could have simply taken our order and informed us there was a large order and they would get to ours shortly. We could have sat down and waited. Not at all what we are used to for service at Firehouse. The staff was talking, so it was not like it was so rushed they couldn’t even talk. As a fellow business owner, I thought the owner would want to know what happened and the fact that we will not be so quick to go there and next time I won’t even wait that long...
Read moreI’m normally a huge sandwich/sub/hoagie guy. I’ve eaten them from everywhere including many firehouse locations. This location however, I will not return to. Service from the short redhead guy was absolutely not okay. He wasn’t just not friendly, he was rude. A sandwich came with onions, I turned to my wife next to me to see if she wanted to take them off or choose something else and he tells us “if you want to step to the side so I can help the next person while you figure it out.” It took me two seconds to ask her, no where near the time it took to even be greeted. There was no one inside eating and one person behind us. Give us a second. They were out of white bread so we had no choice but wheat. Toppings were center loaded and minuscule, mushrooms tasted old and rubbery. Bread tasted extremely dense and chewy. Not a good experience and certainly...
Read moreMy husband and I typically with get a large sandwich and split it. I told my husband let's split the sub and the staff overheard us. They cut the sandwich in half and put them on separate trays with our own pickle each!!! That was so nice!!!! Thanks!!!
We had the steak and cheese. It was good!
I love the steak and cheese sandwich, the spicy meatball sub, and spicy pepperoni meatball sub!
They are spicy so if you have heartburn be prepared. I love the spicy meatball sub. The brownies tasty delicious. I chose not to get one this time, I'm watching my snacking, but I'll be back.
The inside dining area is set up like all the firehouse subs. They are almost or are all identical. Clean environment. Friendly staff.
I wish there were more Firehouse Subs around. But when I see...
